MUSIC TALK: BRUNO MARS AND COLDPLAY

It's a rather cool day. Raindrops fall so heavily that I forgot to tell you guys how much I have been missing the day when I use this keyboard to do some scribbling for this blog (as well as the other blog - the movie one). The huge lumps of engineering-degree-seeking assignments have take a lot of toll on my blogging life. It's that Wednesday again, when out of the sudden (not really) that I want to talk about music.

Oh yes, the first thing is about Bruno Mars and Twilight. Well, since Paramore did some 'Decode' for Twilight, while Death Cab for Cutie wanted you to 'Meet Me on the Equinox', Bruno Mars has joined the rank of artistes whom will headlining the soundtrack for Twilight movie. Yes, Breaking Dawn Part 1 is coming out in the United States this week that Bruno Mars decided to contribute one of his original song-writing piece "It Will Rain" into the soundtrack. How appropriate? The weather in Seattle (where Twilight is set is always in high damp and moisture!!). Here's the official video that you can view below. One thing for sure, the Youtubers are hot on topic in regards to the female lead in the video - she is ugly according to them!

Next, a month after the release of Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto', I am still contemplating on whether to buy the album or not. Previously, I am so occupied that I do not have time to check it out when it arrived on the CD rack on October 24th but since I am already desperately needing some cochlear-dosage of Coldplay, I really need it now. Exams are just around the corner. So, should I fork out RM41 for the new album or just resorting to 'pirate' it? What do you think?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FREDDIE MERCURY

Every year, September 5th is the day when all the music lovers, enthusiasts and Queen's fans around the world gather together to celebrate what is been the birthday of the legendary rock singer Freddie Mercury. The front-man, lead vocalist and the pianist for one of the most celebrated rock band in the history - Queen; is still a mysterious figure, well-respected singers of his time as well as the controversial one. Today, in the year 2011, if he is still here with us, he would have been 65.

Queen Official has released a special video to coincide today's event with a six-minute video with cuts of interviews and portions of "My Melancholic Blues" and "Made In Heaven".

Although I was not born earlier than the day they started to rock the world on, I have been familiarizing myself with Queen's musics all thanks to my uncle. He is a Queen's fan as well and for all these years, I have been listening to their songs. To sum it all up - Queen is full of catchy while rhythmic; mysterious yet meaningful tenor of songs that inspire its listener! Alas, Queen's survival in music has been much on a clinging rope since Mercury passed away in 1991, when I was only six.

To celebrate the day, I have decided to dedicate with my music player been tuned it all up and loud as the Queen's musics will be playing for most of the day. I am not the only one, for sure and of course, as million of others will be flocking their way over to Google's home page to experience not any of the Google Doodle has ever done before. For this special day, Google holds a wonderful tribute to Freddie Mercury by replacing the title block with an impressive HTML5/Flash presentation of Queen's 1979 song "Don't Stop Me Now". That song has been a huge hit with plenty of cult following and placement in the culture as it has been selected as accompanying theme for lots of advertisements. Personally, I love the song and of course the presentation. (Note: In case Google has difficulty loading it, there is a Youtube video already in place for which you can view below):

Freddie Mercury was born as Farrokh Bulsara, a Parsi (Persian) in a Zoroastrian family on this day in 1946 in Gujarat, India. Friends from the time remember him as a quiet and shy young man who showed a great deal of interest in music. However, Freddie is blessed despite spending his early life travelling with his family to Bombay, Zanzibar and London; for that it shapes Freddie into a soul with rich cultural mixture and incisive rhythm in singing. He joined guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor in 1970 to form Queen. Since their amazing success that sprouted to life in 1974, Freddie is well-known not only for his amazing crystal tenor voice, but also for his talent in song writing and a live performer that captivates his audiences. He is natural. He is not like any performer these days. He sells his voice rather than misguiding it into inappropriate agenda.

In 1975, Freddie wrote "Bohemian Rhapsody" - a six-part musical pieces believed to be about his life into a record breaking hit. The song was a huge success that eventually lead Queen into an international stardom. While it was huge in UK, the song only began to become popular following its feature in 1992's film 'Wayne's World'. "Bohemian Rhapsody", according to Freddie, "It's one of those songs which has such a fantasy feel about it. I think people should just listen to it, think about it, and then make up their own minds as to what it says to them... "Bohemian Rhapsody" didn't just come out of thin air. I did a bit of research although it was tongue-in-cheek and mock opera. Why not?" Till this day, no one is certain what the song carries about, but "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a perfect example on how widely ranged Freddie is in terms of song writing. It infuses classical, instrumental, contemporary pop ballad and rock into a musical. Now, I remembered how this song was used in my school's choir group (my school's Glee version!) to be used in various choir competition.

As a live performer on stage, Freddie Mercury is that one-man whom will steal the limelight. His powerful vocal and brilliant connection with his fans are the keys to success. Just look at this 1985's Live Aid performance and witness yourself. It might be odd how a man whose signature is in the later years combing his gel hair fro-to-back, wearing chest revealing singlet (it appears so) and holding a "bottomless microphone stand" could charm you. Oh boy, Freddie Mercury did. In the Live Aid video below, the first of five parts show Freddie Mercury and the band performing "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Radio Ga Ga" in front of 72,000 spectators in Wembley Stadium. Even Elton John admitted that Queen has stole the show and rocked the house.

The other Queen's most successful hits include "We Will Rock You", "We Are The Champion" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love".

In 1987, it is believed at that time when Freddie was first diagnosed with AIDS. Despite his illness, Freddie and the inner circle of friends whom he trusted have again and again denied the fact but speculations rife as Freddie's public appearance has became scarce in 1990. For the last two years of his life, he was living in reclusion. On November 23, 1991, Freddie released a press release by saying:

Following the enormous conjecture in the press over the last two weeks, I wish to confirm that I have been tested HIV positive and have AIDS. I felt it correct to keep this information private to date to protect the privacy of those around me. However, the time has come now for my friends and fans around the world to know the truth and I hope that everyone will join with me, my doctors, and all those worldwide in the fight against this terrible disease. My privacy has always been very special to me and I am famous for my lack of interviews. Please understand this policy will continue.

When words came out with his official statement to confirm that he has AIDS, it was all too late. Barely 24 hours after that announcement, he died in his private home due to bronchial pneumonia as a complication of AIDS. Despite his death, Freddie Mercury remains as one of the most influential rock singers of all time. He may be dead but his musics will live on.

TIPS ON REVERTING BACK TO THE "OLD" FACEBOOK STYLES

There are plenty of negative reactions regarding the new Facebook Chat service ever since it made into effect last week. All the 'chaos' on the web-o-sphere are pointing on the specific downsides of the new feature and also the ugliness of the new FB Chat. Multiple page insisting their hatred on the new Facebook Chat has emerged over the last few days and the number of 'likes' are increasing as many as how Google Plus gained 10 million users in such a short time. Well, that's metaphor anyway. So, you do not like the Facebook Chat. Of course, why the hell do you need a hanging sidebar chat area on the right? Then, why do you need Facebook to recommend who you should chat with?

On top of that, Facebook has nothing but an annoyance to its users with the introduction of several redesign features. The recent introduction of new Chat is a fine example of that. Previously, Facebook has enrolled new form of photo viewing in theater mode which eek a lot of users (it looks fine with me) and also the recently enrolled facial recognition upon photo upload. If you are sick and tired of these, do follow these easy steps and your days will be brighter again (hopefully).

COCKTAIL MIXING AND TASTING SESSION

It was a pleasure attending such a simple yet thoughtful cocktail mixing and tasting session last Saturday with fellow bloggers. I am pretty sure many have shared their thoughts about it. Here's my own's scribble of mine. It was actually my second time (only) attending such session event where the opportunity to witness the mixologist skillfully mixing the favorite and luscious cocktails from scratch recipes is well beyond any words of random and exciting description.

Thanks to Elwyn's courteous invite, I was able to tag Evelyn along for whom she will be my photographer of the night. The event was held at View Rooftop Bar at G Tower beginning at 8pm. It was also my first time visiting the bar and I was elated with the outcome of my attendance of the event. If you are wondering how to get there, some instructions will be given at the end of this post.

IT REMINDS ME OF HOME

I was bedazzled by interior setting. Unlike any other bars in town, View Rooftop Bar has a very exquisite taste to resemble a modern home. It comes to not surprise that the setting itself resembles your own private mini bar at home, indulging a fusion of contemporary and futuristic layout. Indeed, it gives the guests the exact senses of feeling at home, pampering their fatigue minds with a glass of favorite mixture of cocktail to quench your throat with sleazy and temperate electronic music to hit the eardrums. Smooth and silky. Revitalizing yet laid back. What follows are the embedded simple slideshow that I have created to enable you to preview the actual sensual mood of the bar itself. Like they always said, a picture tells a thousand words uniquely to its viewer.

BEFORE WE QUENCH ALL THE SIX

The suave mixologists of View Rooftop Bar have prepared six savory cocktails for our tasting and review that night. The band of expert in mixture of desired flavor and savory is headed by Mr Rizal Junior, the bar manager cum head mixologist. The band performed an over-round demonstration that requires not only exquisite skills; but also strong mental test of acquiring the exact ingredients, vigorous hand muscle to shake the drinks up in a resemblance of 'heart shape' and on top of all, the heart to produce a fine mixture. In the end of the day, witnessing how the mixologist performed from their counter makes me impressed as much as seeing an international circus live!

Before the mixing was done, a toast of dry Vodka is a tradition that will never lost. A customary of salutation and desires. I was made to understand by one of the mixologist that the primary ingredient in their recipe of cocktails is Absolut Vodka. The Swedish version of worldwide recognized vodka leaves a palatable taste that lingers with amazement.

Six elegant and curvy cocktails that starred on that night's show

THE TESTAMENTS

I have the privilege of able to taste all six cocktails prepared that night. The inability to get up close or standing right in front of the mixologists are never an excuse for me to tap in when ever they performed the demonstration. I was lucky to have tested all the six and what you will read next are based on personal opinions. No one's taste buds are the same with another anyway.

All six drinks were found in their list of menu; in fact are also the most popular mixtures in the bar and even elsewhere. There were:

(1) Absolut Strawberry Basil Smash
A cocktail band consisting of 2 shots (50ml) of Absolut Vodka, 4 shots (100ml) of lemon juice, strawberries and muddled basil leaves atop, served in chill and prepared via vigorous shaking to the essence. It is my ultimate favorite cocktail of the night. It is well balanced on the tongue with no overwhelming taste from the Vodka or the strawberry. It is also refreshing and savory grand on the silver plater.

(2) Absolut Pineapple Cardamon Martini

Mixing the ingredients of 2 shots (50ml) of Absolut Vodka, 2 shots (50ml) of pineapple juice, a quarter to half shot of cardamon sweet syrup for extra sensation and three cardamon seeds atop, served in chill and prepared via vigorous shaking to the essence. It is a great rendition of martini that uniquely presented with cardamon, a common ingredient in curry making. The taste is effectively and strongly affected by the cardamon which leaves a tingling sense of juicy salivary effects from the 'curry element'.

(3) Absolut Cinnamon Martini

This alternate version of Apple Strudel Martini is made from 2 shots (50ml) of Absolut Vodka, half of a green apple, a quarter to half shot of sugar syrup, half a shot (15 ml) of lemon juice and a pinch of cinnamon powder atop, served in chill and prepared via vigorous shaking to the essence. The decision to add green apple into this cocktail is rather a good call because of the implicit taste arisen from the taste buds. It is also an explicit example of tantalizing the traditional mixture of apple and cinnamon beyond the customary by leaving a great desire of good taste. I personally loved this drink because am a cinnamon lover myself.

(4) Absolut Apple Rosemary Martini

This drink is a derivation of normal Rosemary Martini, but there's a catch. It is made from 2 shots (50ml) of Absolut Vodka, 4 shots (100ml) of lemon juice, a quarter to half shot of sugar rosemary syrup, a shot of apple juice and decorated with springy rosemary leaves atop, served in chill and prepared by vigorous shaking to its essence. Pretty much like the Cinnamon Martini, this one is overwhelmed by the fragrant and satisfying aura of the rosemary leaves. It comes out as one of the most interesting cocktail of the night, blended with exotic and wildly lingering of nature in well-balance drink. My second best shot of the night!

(5) Absolut Passion Tini

The night continues with another refreshing fruit cocktail - this time from one of my least favorite fruit, passion fruit. Easily combining 2 shots (50ml) of Absolut Vodka, a shot of passion fruit juice, a shot of lemon juice, half a shot (15ml) of vanilla syrup and decorated with a vanilla bud on the side; this is as exotic and as bizarre to me as it appeared very bold. While I do not really enjoy passion fruit in general, I am somehow attracted to the richness in well-balanced flavor and strong natural vanilla essence that truly smashing. It's a shame that I have yet to get myself fond with this drink.

(6) Absolut South Beach

Hailed as the 'vodka' version of mojito by simply replacing it with rum; was made from 2 shots (50ml) of Absolut Vodka, a shot (25ml) of lemon juice, a shot of sugar syrup and mint leaves atop. If you are not a fan of the Cuban rum, you should try this since Absolut Vodka has a much pleasant taste. This drink is universally recognized and rather easy to make. The name itself is appropriate because South Beach takes you to the sea breeze and sunshine warmness around the throat. It is gentle, smooth and perfectly balanced in the sweetness of sugar and sourness of lemon. On top of that, mint provides ample refreshment.

DiGi AND SONY ERICSSON W8 PRESS LAUNCH

The world's first Android-powered Walkman smartphone has finally arrived on the Malaysian soil. Sony Ericsson W8 (also referred as Sony Ericsson Xperia W8 in certain market) is the latest invention for which Sony Ericsson is hoping to be able to revive the market interests on the culture of "Walkman" or music-based mobile phone. The revival takes us to the next level and Sony Ericsson is presenting and marketing W8 as the first phone from the Walkman series to run on Android OS.

It was first been released in the early of May and DiGi is strengthening their market share on the competitive digital music sector by launching the smartphone, while integrating it with the existing DiGiMusic(TM).

On 5th of July 2011 at the Mist Club, Bangsar; DiGi and Sony Ericsson unveiled the metallic red W8 version to the press in a soft and moderate press launch of the much awaited smartphone. Courtesy of invites from Nuffnang Malaysia, GTB was there to witness the press launch and had my first hands on working around the phone. PHONE REVIEW

Sony Ericsson is taking itself into another familiar zone of mediocre when they try to bring creativity and the "awesomeness" factors merging together into this W8. It is an intriguing concept of revamping the Walkman series by incorporating the much beloved Android OS into the model, but that technical-merging does very little to make it an awesome phone itself. Instead, the first glance on this phone will never let you to be unsure if this W8 looks anything similar to X8. Downright, the first disappointment - W8 marks a rather quiet announcement from Sony Ericsson because there is no revamp of design curves to differentiate this from X8.

The second disappointment must be directed to its choice of Android software. Instead of going for more advance version, the people down at the Sony Ericsson lab decided to put this with Android 2.1 Eclair. Simply to say, the W8 users will stuck in the time warp by going retro back in the days of Android revolution. I personally think that incorporating Android 2.2 (Froyo) or 2.3 (Gingerbread) would have been a decent choice of all.

W8 may have lack the quality in terms of OS choice and the curves, but it is a rather average phone to begin with. It is equipped with HVGA resolution (320 x 480) touch screen, running on Android 2.1 Eclair with 600 MHz processor and 168MB RAM. For browsing experience, W8 is 2G and 3G enabled plus ability to access WiFi, GPRS, HSDPA and EDGE. Standby time runs at 446 hours (18.5 days), talktime at 476 minutes (8 hours) and music playback for 24 hours. It also has a 3.2 Megapixel camera packed on its back, albeit no flash for the camera. An astounding news is that W8 lacks Flash and Java.

Touch screen property is quite smooth and not jagged. The home screen of the phone has four navigation shortcuts on its four-corner - that's a smart move. Social media junkie will have Timescape(TM) integrated but I shall comment less since I did not tried this feature that day. Typing seems pretty flow-able, but people who has big thumbs and fingers may find it hard to handle the typing. With a low spec on its processor specs, certain high-end apps are totally a no-no if you wants to install it. Since it is a Walkman series, it is made to awe you on its music department. Infinite Button is incorporated into the MP3 experience for users to learn for more information and content.

In the nutshell, Sony Ericsson W8 is an affordable, on average Walkman phone attempting to be "smart". The down side is that W8 sounds small on its bigger technicality issues of Android choice and lack of ambitious design. However, it feels slightly better when you use it but nothing more than just a little gadget for revamping the era of Walkman and MP3 experience. Not a bad phone if you consider having an MP3, Android and mobile phone at the same time - but exclusively not elegant or awesome!

'WINDOWS 8': A RE-IMAGINING OF THE NEXT OPERATING SYSTEM

Currently code-named "Windows 8", the preview to one of the most exquisite and exotically 'new-wave of technology cums experience' operating system was made earlier this month, in conjunction with 2011 D9 Conference. "Windows 8" will powers personal computers like never before, from small hand-held gadgets to the large screen PCs. Adequately, it includes personal computers like home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, and media center PCs.

SOUNDTRACK: TRANSFORMERS DARK OF THE MOON

From one of the most anticipated movie of the year, comes the soundtrack album that fills your cochlear nerves with tantrum ear-banging moment of rock and alternative tunes. The Michael Bay film is awaiting for its official release on June 29, but the original soundtrack album has already arrived in stores since June 14. I bet everyone is feeling excited because it is less than two weeks before we experience one of the most fascinating 3D movie ever, since Avatar (that's according to James Cameron). While waiting for the day, why not start banging your head with some post-grunge and alternative rock from the album?

The soundtrack comes in several version but the standard edition has 11 tracks from featuring artistes like Linkin Park, Paramore, Goo Goo Dolls, My Chemical Romance and Staind. iTunes Deluxe version will have an additional three songs by Biffy Clyro, Stone Sour and Serj Tankian. The full album will have 16 tracks in total.

LADY GAGA, THE EDGE OF GLORY AND ZZZZZZZZ....

The fans of Lady Gaga must be excited because the official video for "The Edge of Glory" has finally out. I got a tip off from MTV Buzz last night that the video will premier on Thursday's night (in United States), so I figured out that could be equivalent to late noon here in Malaysia. As excited as I was with the video, but I have to say that this video is DISAPPOINTING. Watch the MV below and share your comments.

Not since Lady Gaga's earliest hits like "Just Dance", "Paparazzi" and "Poker Face" did she invented some flamboyant and distinguished touches on her single video. This time, "The Edge of Glory" plays down a little safer.

There is no backup dancer to accompany her this time - thus the lack of proper choreograph moves that mostly evident in the video. It feels like something is missing. Apparently only the saxophone man is sitting besides her most of the time.

Then, you may notice lack of imagination on the plot. There is no controversial story in this video - just a plain Lady Gaga doing some odd dancing and trying hard to be as fetish as ever, walking up the stairs. Yes, "The Edge of Glory" is a pure pop single that contains almost nothing for erecting the mood for a dance, but this is not an excuse for the lack of story execution.

Finally, anything interesting or unique signature found in this video? Not so much, except that double "eyelining" shadows that makes her like some "wild animals". If "Judas" has a lipstick gun, "Born This Way" has a masterpiece concept about indifference and zygote germination, what does "The Edge of Glory" has?

Now that people has started to comment things like "I WANT OLD GAGA BACK" or "BORING VIDEO...", I feel that the music video is as usual a form of arts and expression for Lady Gaga. Yes, on technical approach, I am disappointed with the style that this music video comes out, but it does not change the fact that this song itself is awesome.

Still, Friday is the day to start the weekend, the one special day that usually I can get out to hang out with friends and watching movies. No? IT'S A SHAME THAT YOU ARE A BLOGGER WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OTHERS!

QUESTION: Do you think it is logic to 'SELL' your movie premiere screening ticket to somebody else considering that you are not intended of attending it? Do you know it is free stuffs that deemed unsuitable for such misdemeanor or because just want to earn that extra cash from such act? Can anyone imagined the person who bought the ticket from someone happened to realize that he/she is the only person who have to pay for the screening?

So, almost everyone got their premiere screening movie via contest or giveout on social media or newspaper, right? The whole reason about the existence of premiere screening is to allow the movie distributors to screen a movie to a handful of public audience beforehand; to allow words-of-mouth of a movie been spread after they have watched it. I can rest assured you no one have to pay a single cent for such screening because it is a marketing strategy by distributors to check on the level of anticipation and market potential based on the attendees' reactions. For those who does not know why we have tonnes of movie screening every week, this is indeed the reason.

Apparently there is this person trying to sell off her Hoodwinked Too premier screening (I assumed it's on next Monday or Tuesday) for RM10 a piece on Twitter via FongFeiKei. I'm kind of surprised because no one actually buy a movie screening ticket! Yes, some of you may have watched that movie in another premier screening few weeks ago so you might argue the validity of next week's screening.

For those who not aware, the movie distributor planned to release the movie back in the early of May. That explains the one screening that was held back at the end of April. One of our friend, Isaac Tan has watched it. Unfortunately enough because due to some problems, the release of the movie was delayed until its confirmation for release next week. To compensate, I believe that the distributor is doing another round of premiere screening and chances are that - you have won it recently from Nuffnang, right?

So I asked her nicely why you wanna sell it cause it is supposedly free?
She replied me by tweeting "'premiere' means 'a first public performance' according to dictionary.com, 'premiere' doesn't mean free LOL"

I asked her again, how she got the tickets - free or she bought it.
She answered "of course free la"

Next thing is she angrily tweeted "check the facts about premier screening before I asked her this" - of course she didn't mentioned me, but I know it means me anyway.
One of my friend jumped into the wagon by tweeting "We know your purpose,got it free and make $$,so good luck to u". He knew that premiere screening is not for sale, nor does it deemed exchangeable for cash!

He then continued by tweeting "If premiere have red carpet or premiere for charity is different story,she should know the premiere culture in Malaysia"

The biggest plunder of all that I thought worth mentioning is - this person who is trying to sell of her premiere tickets is actually a blogger serving for Nuffnang. I saw her on Innit Chat box quite frequent last time, doing the quite normal routine by spamming all the way to the core! The thing is I do not think it is necessary to say who is she, nor this post is intended for her act. Yes, you have been reading my squibbing about this issue but what is the morale of the story in the end of the day?

THE MORALE OF THE STORY - "A blogger is also a human. That goes to mean that a blogger, like a human, has integrity. Does the race to achieve something in the blogosphere makes one simply to take advantage from a certain circumstances just for your sole benefits? So to say, are bloggers doing it simply just for fame, glory and wealth, even it involves some other forms of dirty tricks?" You are now asking for RM10 a piece from something that i thought would be more wonderful to give to someone who deserved to watch the movie more if you do not like it. You are now asking for RM10 a piece from something that i thought is free and deemed "not exchangeable for cash" items. To be honest, if I have a chance, I am willing to give away my screening ticket even if it is a bunch of school kids or probably even some orphans if in case I decided not to attend the screening.

Before I turned myself into another Vince Philosophy, I think I shall stop. Now, you decide!

TAKE THAT ROCKS THE X-MEN!

Two weeks aago, Take That's "Love Love" was released in conjunction with the release of X-Men First Class this week. Now, here coems the music video! Enjoy, lads!

Take That's "Love Love" is released as a single from the soundtrack to X-Men: First Class. This will be the second time Take That have recorded a song for a film directed by Matthew Vaughn, the first being "Rule the World", which was written for the film Stardust. The movie is opening on June 2, 2011.

SOCIAL MEDIA: USING THE FRIENDSTER EXPORTER

A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that Friendster will deleted all your info (assuming you are still aware that you have one Friendster account). According to PC Mag article, the once dominant social network announced that users will have until May 31 to export their data from the site, at which point Friendster will focus on "entertainment and fun" segment only.

In case you have deleted your account, I guess there's nothing much for you to do now. However, if in case you remembered you do have one account that you have not deleted them and intended to keep those old photos, blogs or posts; probably even the profile too, it would be advisable for you to use the new application called Friendster Exporter. So, here's how to use the Friendster Exporter in easy steps.

01) Go to your Friendster home page. (Ask for your password if you forget your login procedure!) Once you are there, go to the green navigation bar on top, select Fun >> Apps

02) Under the 'New Release' section, look up for Friendster Exporter apps. Add them to your profile.

03) Once you have reached the apps, it offers three options of exporting tools. The first one is the 'Profile Exporter', where you can include your photos (Slower download option) or without them (Faster download option)

04) You can also export your photos. Unfortunately they only allowed export option into Multiply. Apparently, they will add the Flickr into their list soon.

05) Lastly, you can export your Friendster blog posts into a XML file for Wordpress and Blogger. I have not try this option yet nevertheless.

So once you have determine what to export, click the necessary button to initiate your exporting process. Before you can proceed with the download, you will need to login into your Facebook account.

Honestly, I am looking forward for the new version of Friendster since it is apparent that will be ditching much of the social networking segment to concentrate on the lucrative entertainment segment. Although you are pretty much require to back up your profile and blogs, you will not lose your account actually. It will stays on as the Friendster will stay.

So, I heard the news that Nuffnang is giving out some premier tickets for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides screening on 16 May 2011 at GSC MidValley. Ahoy, it's in 3D some more. Arrr! So, I am planning to get our hands on that tickets - secretively. When I said I am getting my hands on it means I'm going to steal it, savvvy? But first, the mateys at the Nuffnang are challenging me with brain teaser - they asked "What's the best things about being a pirate?" Oooo...I like brain teaser XD

So, listen up mates and lads. Here are the best things about been a pirate! Like seriously....

Number one, did I mentioned that I can steal the Nuffnang premier tickets, Aye!

Pirates like me don't ask permission before we take stuffs. Instead, been a pirate, I will just take and leave. Otherwise, it means that there's a "gene of stealing" running in my blood. So I don't have to ask for permission. Well, not that I care after all, muahahaha..... Just walk in and steal it, that's the plan matey! Those mateys at Nuffnang thought they can hide the tickets from me. Haha... they were wrong.

Last night, I busted into their office located at the hearts of Kuala Lumpurrr. After hours of searching up and down, left and right.... Arrrr! Finally, I found this magical-fluffy-flowery box hidden in their safe vault. Like I said, as if they can hide everything from a pirate, savvy? When I open the box, 'Shiver me timbers!' They hid so many jewelry, coins and.... Arrrr, the tickets! Woohoo!

Without hesistation, I just grabbed everything and chao....of course, all the invite tickets as well! Now at the beach waiting for my Black pearl to pick me up back to my home.

Number two, I can earn a living by stealing nail polishers

You see, I don't really fancy nail polishers. Simply because I'm a teddy pirate. I don't have nails after all. The only reason I fancy nail polishers because it is a big business back in Caribbean where everyone fancy them. So why not pile up some stock to my business? Arrrr! I almost forgot. The invites to the screening comes with a special prizes - OPI Lacquer & Essential Manicure & Pedicure Service worth RM297 each. You see, the old habits never faded in me. It's time to steal it again. I realized the mateys at Nuffnang do not put the nail polishers in their office. Instead, they decided to hide it somewhere. Now where can it be? Hmmmm....

Just when these moment I prefer not to praise myself more than it should be, again finding those hidden nail polishers would be a piece of cake. I am a pirate matey! So here it goes again, the life of just steal and leave. Now I have all the OPIs, all for myself!

Number three, I'm a girl-magnet, means I can woo them easily

Aye! All pirates have a love story to share. I have too, plenty I would say. There's a lot of woman associated with me in the past. Not sure why I am with some of them anyway, perhaps I can woo them easily with my charmness and heroic look.

Oh well, story cut short! After I stole all the nail polishers am waiting for my Black Pearl, I hears somebody screaming for help. So I go have a look. 'Shiver me timbers'!! I saw Monster Redtard kidnapping a girl. Wait is that Princess Barbie?

Anyway, I jumped into the scene to fight with the monster and managed to rescue to girl. Oh well, like any fairy tales in pirates world, she instantly fall in love with me. Okay, I grabbed and 'stole' her along back to my home. Nice!!

In short, what are the best things about being a pirate? There are all been summarized in one-word - "PARTAY TIME!!" Ooops, that's two!

TECHNOLOGY: GOOGLE CHROME VERSION 11, NOW WITH NEW LOGO

A few days ago, the fastest growing web browser in the world, Google Chrome has stepped up the game by updating the web browser into version 11. A quick check few days ago, I have seen my web browser has been updated to 11.0.696.60.

The latest version - 11.0.696.60

Now, what's new about the version 11? A quick look into the whole world wide web revealed some info that I would like to share. First of all, could you go back to the picture above and tell me anything been a little different, particularly? No? Well, look carefully at the Google Chrome icon and chances are you will spot the differences. Yes, while it is not a new stuffs for some of us, the new icon features a sleek, clean and notorious look. I guess it is also been tweaked and re-angled slightly.

Which one is better?

The new version of Google Chrome features a few notable updates. First of all, the version-10 has previously been reported to crash frequently due to bugs and breaking loading issues, which the new version has addressed and fixed them. Security issues have been upgraded too. Yes, I have been experiencing severe crash last week while accessing notable sites like Youtube and Facebook. It seems fine now.

Equally, the new version will allow web developers to access a few new stuffs to play with. For instance, the new Google Chrome version will have much support for HTML5 speech input API. This new feature, using API, allows the developers to integrate the ability to transcribe a text into voice and visa versa. When I said visa versa, it simply means transcribing voices into words. Yes you heard me right.

If you have a microphone attached to your computer right now, you are highly recommended to try this feature yourself! (I don't have one so I cannot try it out myself) Go to Google Translate (it is at this link if you are not from this era) and you will notice a 'small microphone' icon on the bottom-right of the usual text-typing box. Said loudly and clearly into your mic, chances are Google Chrome's HTML5 APIs will transcribe what you have said into words. At the same time, click the normal 'Listen' button and you will hear what you have typed. Alternatively, try this feature in the HTML5 Presentation at this link.

GPU-accelerated 3D CSS is also been upgraded to allow web developers to add 3D effects to their web building.

Ignore the number of Chrome apps I am opening but
clearly stated here is GPU Process and Google Gears are running

The next update for the Google Chrome version will be unveiled in a month or two. Things that I have read so far pointed out to a major changes for the web browser itself. Currently, Google Chrome version 12 is available through the site sharing Chromium project for web development.

Google Gears is good but it crashes on my side easily

Some of the key issues like the Chrome Gear is most likely will be removed. Gears "enables more powerful web applications, by adding new features to your web browser. It allows some online files to be used offline". However, there are issues revolving it as it tends to cause unnecessary crash (at least for me)

MUSIC: TRANSFORMERS 3 + LINKIN PARK = THEME SONG

Yes, the news is now all over the place. Linkin Park's fourth single from their fourth studio album, A Thousand Suns has been confirmed to be featured as the theme song for the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon. ‘Iridescent’ will be officially released on May 17. It will also continue the running streak of the band’s songs being used as the theme songs for the Transformers movies. In 2007, Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done” was used for the pole on the first Transformers movie. Two years later, “New Divide” was used for the sequel.

It looks rather unsurprising given the developed mutual collaboration between director Michael Bay, composer Steve Jablonsky and the band themselves. Thus, it makes much more sense that Linkin Park will once again headlining the soundtrack.

Why “Iridescent” you asked? Yes, the song is now like any typical Linkin Park’s song that sounds in tune with the action film. Here’s the interview for the song preview:

Have you watched Rio yet? If you have not, let me tell you that you should. Read on Green Tea Movie's review of appraisal for the animation.

Rio is not an ordinary animation. It is directed by Carlos Saldanha, the same director who make the Ice Age movies. It has a touching story about the relationship of the avians and human, on the basis of pushing the limit of boundary past the term 'pets-and-owners'. It also have sequences of majestic and rendering scenery of Brazil, fused with samba beats, highly octane festivity mood in the atmosphere. Best of all, it functions as a musical animation. Now, that is just some of the stuffs that Rio offers.

There is another plus, the soundtrack. Interscope Records produced and released the soundtrack of Rio.

Anyway, this is our last om nom nom session. Dancing Fish, located at Bangsar Shopping Centre, it offers a delicious Malay-Indo cuisine, presenting the diner with great experience of dining and the environment is high class, modern and heavily influenced by forest theme. The use of wood as a main theme is undeniable.

Emping and Sambal Kerasi – a perfect appetizer that looks like Mexican Nachos but a local version, with soury sambal sauce that suits the taste buds of Malaysian.

Ikan seabass Bakar – fresh from the tank, basted with special BBQ sauce and herbs that tantalizes your taste bud.

Belimbing Ikan Masin – a combination of local starfruit, herbs and sour vegetables; top with spiciness and anchovies that bring up the saltiness totally equalize the dish. Served with yellow/white rice.

Hey Latte, Here's what we're up to right now :)

I think I'm like gaining weight now. I've been eating alot since 10am till now. I pity Latte that you ain't following us. Anyway, after encounter some massive traffic jam, we finally reached our 4th pit stop. It was quite a hard place to find but fear not ! We're actually leading ! Because We're awesome people with Jayren F1 driving skills :D

Finally after all the food pit stop, finally we get to eat something which i've been craving and a fan of. THAI FOOD ! FTW ! Tell me, how can you not love thai food?

Guess where? *wiggles eyebrow*

Its at Thaibase Restaurant located at Sri Damansara. I heard is one of a famous thai restaurant. But then, its not only thai, but its also a Muslim Halal Restaurant ! Combination of both ! SATU MALAYSIA !

Its like right in the middle of the shop lots and is quite hard to find because its like covered up with trees ( Go green !) And its upstairs :) I love love love their interior. So chinese-y from typical wooden chair to typical chinese big round table.

First, we will start of with the, Mi Bandung....No this is not an ordinary mi bandung because the uniqueness of this dish is that the secret ingredients used to make its thick sauce. It is rich in texture, flavour and aroma of South East Asian culture.

Mango kerabu is again may seems a bit cliche, but use of fresh ingredients makes it outstanding. The sweetness, sourness and spiciness. Damn, it really does trickle your taste bud !

Last one, perhaps the one that all of us agrees upon -

Surprisingly that I am still alive with 2 meals within 3 hours :O Why on earth is YuhJiun so pro that she can tweet, update facebook status and running in the same time!? HAHA And we are now doing the eating and blogging part!

Have you ever tried rabbit meat? It sounds so disgusting to me AWW D: Anyway we are having our freaking yummeh rabbit meat at Sate Kajang Hj Samuri at Damansara Utama. In this 16 years, I do really hate to eat rabbit or goat meat but now I've change my mind. It's so juicy and tempting!

The interior is kind of traditional malay style :)

Anyway, Latte, let's make you drools for more.

First, allow us to quench our thirst. Eating satay without a glass of fresh syrup is not an enjoyable thing. luckily we have one.

There's a few variety of satays. Like chicken, beef, goat, and deer. Most of the meat are really tender and juicy. Its really awesome and delicious.

Not to mention, the Nasi Impit with the delicious peanut sauce !!

Hj Samuri Kajang satay is pretty famous. I'm sure every Malaysian of all walks of life should have tested it once. But fear not, there is an outlet at Damansara Utama. You can find the outlet easily here and perhaps you can contact them at 03-77105318. Or else, visit their main headquarters at the awesome town of Kajang.

Yes ! We are here at the second place ! after turn and turn and turn , we finally found our way to the second place here . The place is not that hard to find , and no ! We are not lost ! Every team is rushing to the venue . We saw few team here also . We are running against time now ! we need to be fast !

Now is 2pm ( time ) , and our team , I Eat I Run I win is blogging from Restaurant Tarbush. It's at LG2.123, Sunway Pyramid, 46150 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Well, it is obvious isn't it that it is inside Sunway Pyramid. Here, we had the opportunity to eat all the awesome food here in Arabian style. The restaurant is a authentic Malaysian restaurant . The concept of the restaurant is the fusion of middle Eastern desert and royalty palace environment straight from the city of Beirut, Lebanon.

The restaurant serves Middle Eastern cuisine . The price of the food is quite reasonable and the taste is just too awesome , we don't know which to eat and which to not eat , we just eat all the food ! And no diet for today!

Now , where shall i start to introduce the food .

Firstly, we shall start of with the drinks. There's 2 kind of drinks.

Lemon Naanaa and Ice Lemon Tea ;)

The taste is really refreshing !

Daud Basha - lamb meat ball cooked with tomato gravy and served with white rice. The meat is tender and contains delicious and strong texture when you bite on it. Served with hot white rice.

Cream caramel is two very locally Arabic infused dessert. The cream caramel is sweetly crafted and contains the essence from the sweet Arabic.

You may have recognized me from Bern’s blog. I will be controlling the keyboard today because yours truly Bern is kinda busy. In case you do not know what is going to happen today, it’s the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race Day. YAY! I am so excited because the most awesome and dynamic team alive - I EAT, I RUN, I WIN will be going around the Klang Valley to participate in the ‘food edition’ of Amazing Race! Haha, I even over-heard that they did mentioned something like “They can smell Hong Kong already!” last night - LOL!!

YES, I AM ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR THE TEAM’S FIRST POST. ARRGGGHHH, I wonder where are them now? Let me put on my ‘Viking Nervous Helmet’ first while waiting for their e-mail.

Hello LATTE,

I EAT, I RUN, I WIN writes from the first check point of the day. Can you guess where we are now?

Yes? No? Anyway, I shall not start the day with too much suspense. You will have plenty of them this whole day. Anyway, we are here at Strawberry Fields,. This fancy but humble restaurant has been established since 1988, serving various kind of general Asian cuisine and plenty of mixture of Western infusion and Halal Chinese food. To add in the uniqueness, they also served Thailand infused dishes. Strawberry Fields is located at Lot 14, Jalan Tengah PJ New Town (PJ State), Petaling Jaya, 46200 Selangor which is about several minutes away from our first clue marshal.

We got off on a tricky start but we managed to arrive here just in time to taste our first ‘Om Nom Nom’ session. For those who aren’t familiar with this place, Strawberry Fields offers plenty of food and beverages at reasonable price. As always, it is our job to make your saliva drools! Be prepared to get awesomefied. Let’s look at their food shall we?

(1) Chicken Wings With French Fries. OH MY GOD!!! This is a healthy combination. Why you ask?The chicken wings are fired in juicy and tenderly crispy but it comes with blends of green vegetables. Fries is ORGASMIC!!

(2) TomYam Chicken + Rice. It is an authentic Tom Yam style of great Thai serving. It is not that spicy but it is deliciously blend with rich herbs and spices. People who can't bear the spicy-ness still can enjoy it.

(3) Sago Gula Melaka. Here's our dessert. Richly sugarly and fattening, rich in aroma and crafted in style because the sago is in heart shape. SUPREMELY SWEET

Don't worry, the price here is quite reasonable.

Yes, the most anticipated movie of the year-end holiday season will be making its to the local cinemas and taking the world with storm this weekend. TRON: Legacy, a sci-fi tribunal homage that honors the existence of the computer game world will a litmus test for the fans acceptance and reimagining a new frontier in the sci-fi movies. Back in the year 1982, TRON was first released into that year that was filled with more contemporary sci-fi features. TRON has to battle against the likes of E.T.: The Extra-terrestrial, Star Trek 2 and The Thing.

Disc War

There are hopes and faiths that this will be another Avatar, although I bid to differ. Avatar plays out to a different generic demographic when compared to TRON Legacy. Nevertheless, there are already speculations on how this movie will end up - good or devastated. The conversations are already been fully engaged among the insiders and industry players in Hollywood. There are some positive early reviews, and likewise also some negative one too.

We will only know the answer whether TRON: Legacy is going to be good or bad this Thursday. I will make my way to the premier screening of TRON: Legacy tomorrow at Sunway Pyramid. The current update on Rotten Tomatoes has TRON" Legacy gaged at 65%.

Soundtrack cover

In this post, we will look at the soundtrack of the movie. The soundtrack is purely (although there are all been conducted as an orchestra lead by Joseph Trapanese) electronic disco genre, scored by the popular French electronic music maestro Daft Punk. Electronic music is not my bread-and-butter, but after listening to the 58 minutes soundtrack, I have to say that the music of such grand scale is something different at least to me. It is both engaging and appreciatory. This is Daft Punk's first attempt in the soundtrack and I hope it is not their last.

Let's race the cycle-tron

While I have never enjoyed electronic music so much, I always thought that the duo gave something unusual. Their musics tell you a story, an art that intriguing the heart and the soundtrack serves no differences at all. The soundtrack isn't a groundbreaking addition, but it companies the mood and tone of the movie very well.

Not all the songs are fused with heavy electronic music. The listing starts with 'Overture' - a starting gear one in shift for listening pleasure. 'The Grid' introduces the world we will stuck in the movie, with voiced over by Jeff Bridges himself. Tunes like 'Nocturne', 'Aldagio For Tron', and 'Arrival' are pretty down to core a basic score that has almost no infusion of electro senses. Some familiar tracks like 'Recognizer', 'The Game Has Changed' and 'End Of Line' are the handful very electro-mood.

Walk with cofnfidence

'Derezzed', the lead single from the soundtrack album is a pure 'ear-orgasm' track that heavily beats up the ear-drum. 'Fall' feels extravaganza, bedazzling and perhaps sounds familiar because you have heard it from the trailer before. 'Flynn Lives' is soothing and perhaps tells you how to movie will end - yeah, the Flynn lives. How about the ending 'Tron Legacy (End Titles)' to give you an extra boost of pumping your eardrums?

What you should do is to survive

For a mesmerizing album like TRON: Legacy soundtrack, it deserves a 7/10 rating.....

GOOGLE DESTROYS 25 LAPTOPS BUT NO DATA IS LOST

How wasted! The 'good folks' at Google destroyed about 25 laptops and netbooks in order to make this video. The video debuted a few days ago in YouTube shows an act of vandalism by destroying about RM50,000 (estimated and roughly) to show you one advantage of using Google Chrome OS. Luckily, it is now actually affordable to lose, burn, freeze or smash your laptops when you are using Google Chrome OS because you will never ever lose your data - not a bit! Well, as long as the internet network around the world does not collapse, then your data are safe.

OS is an acronym for Operating System. Anyone of you reading this is definitely using only either Windows or Mac as your OS four your PCs. There isn't much options in the market. However, Google Chrome OS is expected to hit the store coming early of 2011.

Now, why Google Chrome is so different? Unlike conventional OS which is run by installing softwares into your PCs before you enjoy it, Chrome OS provides everything for their softwares - from Office Document (with Google Documents), internet browsing with Chrome and its ever expanding applications and extensions, chat with Google Talk and do 'Photoshop' picture editing with Picasa. Notice that all of these tasks are done with internet connected. Chrome OS is powered by internet and your works are not saved in your hard disk (or not so much!)

You know how much I love Google, I am not one of those lucky people who have tested their beta version of netbook that runs under Google Chrome OS. The beta version known as Cr-48 are the first generation of Google Netbooks. Below are some other details about Google Chrome OS:

Design goals for Google Chrome OS's user interface include using minimal screen space by combining applications and standard Web pages into a single tab strip, rather than separating the two.
Designers propose using search and pinned tabs as a way to quickly locate and access applications.
Google Chrome OS consumes one-sixtieth as much drive space as Windows 7.
Google Chrome OS uses solid state memory, instead of traditional hard disk.
While Chrome OS will support hard disk drives, Google has requested that its hardware partners use solid-state drives "for performance and reliability reasons"

LET'S DO SOME CHARITY

Congenital heart defect (CHD) is the defect in the structure of the heart and great vessels which is present at birth. Heart defects are among the most common birth defects and are the leading cause of birth defect-related deaths. Many defects don't need treatment, but some complex congenital heart defects require medication or surgery.

In Malaysia, CHD affects at least 5,000 young infants yearly. While some patients do not require much treatment for the defect, there are some who need extensive surgery to correct their hearts so that they can live a normal life like any other children. After surgery, these children will need to be covered with medications to avoid any complications and risks like infection or heart dysfunctional. For most of the cases, cost is always a hindrance because the follow-up treatments and managements require a lot of money. The unfordable parents may find it difficult to fork up to the amount needed for their child's surgery and treatment. Fortunately, there are still good people around the world that aims to help these children.

I was reading this article in the New Straits Time the other day and you can find the article online too at here. I was moved by the article which features four young children who are suffering from CHD. Their families are now appealing for donations to enable them to undergo surgeries to correct their heart defects. The four affected children are:

Teoh Yan Qi, 5-month-old, suffers from a serious CHD and has been on life support since birth. She requires RM40,000 for surgery and pre-operative care to correct three heart defects of ventricular septal defect, patent foramen ovale and patent ductus arteriosus. Her father, Teoh Hiang Heng is a fisherman from Nibong Tebal who earns only RM2,000 per month to feed his family of six.
Teoh Yan Ru, 2-years-old, suffers a complex univentricular heart. Previously, she has undergone two palliative procedures and requires another surgery that is expected to cost about RM38,000. Her father, Teoh Chun Lai is a tailor in Sungai Petani who earns only RM1,500 per month.
Vissalanee Muniandy, 4-month-old, suffers from total anamalous pulmonary venous drainage. She needs an urgent surgery to correct her condition and is expected to cost RM38,000. Her father K Muniandy works as a rubber tapper in Sungai Petani and earns RM400 per month.
Muhamad Hafiz Ramli, 14-years-old, has pulmonary artesia and ventricular septal heart defects. He has undergone surgery back in 2004 and is expected to require RM55,000 for subsequent surgery and pre-operative care. His single mother, Noraini harun is a teacher and she earns RM762 per month.

JIPABAN IS THE SANTARINA

After reading their pleads, I thought why not we give something to these children, in conjunction with the upcoming Christmas. Christmas is a season of joy and I'm sure many of you would love to do something for the less unfortunate. Let us share the smile and love to them for the spirit of kindred and generosity. While thinking of participating the contest from Jipaban, I thought that it will be a good idea to do charity while spreading the joy of Christmas, hence I decided to look over for some suitable gifts that I can delivered.

Then, this cutsy Teddy struck me. Without much hesitation, I have decided to give this Teddy as a gift to dear Teoh Yan Ru, 2-years-old, suffers a complex univentricular heart. Although I don't really know her or her family well, the only thing I need to know about her is that she needs money to undergo a surgery to correct her heart, so that she can live a normal life. It may sounds cliché but a stuffed toy or teddy bear will always be the universal symbol of love and compassion. This feminine Teddy is available for viewing here.

Hopefully, this Teddy that I am going to give her would be a beginning for a joyful life for her. It is not easy to live with this kind of condition because patient with CHD may have difficulty to live like normal children. But, I hope we can put some smile on the face of her parents and to bring some love and healthy life for her. WORLD CUP EXPANDS NEW HORIZON BUT MARRED WITH CONTROVERSY

Last Friday, FIFA announced the host for the World Cup 2018 and 2022 in an eventful night, marred with speculations and controversial votes-buying incident before and after the ballot. Of course, in any major event, there will a winner and loser. The winner was Russia but the losers were Spain, Portugal and England. On another ground, the winner was Qatar and the losers were the United States and Australia. The aftermath of the host announcement, the world has now embarked in a bitter blizzard of distaste and foul-play.

FIFA awarded the World Cup 2018 and 2022 to Russia and Qatar respectively

We shall not talk about the controversial event that leads to the breakdown of several unsatisfied parties first. GREEN TEA WORLD would like to congratulate the citizens of Russia and Qatar for their successful bid to organize the World Cup 2018 and 2022 respectively. Russia and Qatar beat the odds by emerging a surprise winner in the tight multiple-cornered battle to secure the votes of the FIFA executives to host the World Cup.

The result is pretty straight forward. Russia garnered the most votes in the first round with England which has the best technical inspection report was humiliated in the first round. Spain/Portugal bid was the second best in the report but could not have been able to do anything to deny Russia's win. In the end, the announcement sent Russian into unconfined joy but the media in England continues to banging the drums over foul-plays, betrayal and exclusive backdoor stories that exposed FIFA into a money-making organization and landing into a big cash cow deal for money politics.

Dejected...some of the disappointing faces when England was humiliated in the first round of World Cup bidding

The controversy World Cup bidding process began when the medias across England reported that FIFA has turned on vote-buying on the previous host bidding processes between 1989 to 1999, an allegation that FIFA has not turned in to investigate. The documentary broad-casted by BBC on 29 November 2010 highlighted that FIFA officials voting on the World Cup bids had received large bribes and that FIFA requires bidding nations to agree to enact special laws granting FIFA and sponsors tax benefits.

In the whole wide world, who doesn't know that Russia is a corrupt-filled nation that has a complex society and highly organized crimes within the government as well as its social structure? No, correct this - I am not generalizing Russia as a whole country that corrupts; only the elites in the government and gangsters in Russia have that kind of formidable access. There were plenty accusation on the government in hiding the truth and money-laden business on the vast country but I do not want to say that because I respect PM Vladmir Putin for who he is. A macho man indeed.

With the host been awarded to Russia, we hope they indeed changed as much they have lauded during the campaign. The problems in Russia are very simple:

Infiltration of Russian rubles in money-laundering and corruption, organized by a certain sect in the government and the Russian gangsters
Russian are the most notorious people when it comes to racism - Asians, Blacks, Latinos and Africans, beware!
Been a vast countries, the key concerns of logistics and geographic challenges have been voiced out. FIFA also commented that there are some venues been too out-spread although the proposed venues are still confined within the western part of the country
Lack of proper infrastructure and basic football technology

The United States and England were both the clear favourite as they scored a remarkable highest scores in the technical presentation, lauded as both were the best bidders for World Cup 2018 and 2022.

On the other bid, Qatar seems unassailable on its own world. It was weird to think of how players would adapt to a high 120 degree Fahrenheit, a dry and hot weather especially if you are playing the 2.30PM match. Qatar beats United States, Australia, Japan and Korea to become the second Asian country and the first in Arab world to host. The fact that again, Qatar has the worst technical presentation and report among the 2022 bidders and awarded in the end was another eye-raisers. Why? Money I expect. Qatar has never qualified to the World Cup finals and has seen some hiccups during the 2006 Asian Games.

In the end of the day, I think money-governing is just an aspect in our life. If the world can't believe what had happened in Zurich, they might as well adjust their spectacle and see things that occur here in Malaysia. I am tired of all these non-sense money politics and I ended up getting or hearing themselves more often in Malaysia nowadays. People calls these bastards by name - leapy frog, Jibby and et cetera. Money politics seems rampant, even in Malaysia or FIFA and that is a truth.

In Malaysia, these money politics that they are forging involves the citizen's money - tax payers could have condemn these acts but then again what reformation actions can we do? Oh yes, we can opt to change the government. Similarly, England FA should stop all these dissatisfaction now because the hosting rights have been awarded. Now, turn attention on the field and show the world what they really have. In similar tone, I have to say that most of the losing bidders - the highly potential bidders like Spain/Portugal, Netherlands/Belgium, United States and Australia have the same discontent over FIFA now.

WHY "30 SECONDS TO MARS' HURRICANE" GOT BANNED? [UPDATED]

The fourth single from the album This Is War has caused a little bit of provocation and unsettling; mainly because of the controversial music video. MTV said it is enough and the video has been slapped with restriction and banned. Surprising enough, the video may have well been considered for post-10PM restriction but that did not materialize because of one particular erotic scene.

30 Seconds To Mars is the American indie rock band headlined by actor-singer Jared Leto. The band has some sweet success in the past including the global warming themed smash hit, A Beautiful Lie as well as Kings and Queens the first single from the current album has been given an enormous well-reception. MTV has made a verdict on the video citing that the dark nature, sophisticated graphical violent, bondage and sadistic erotic theme the MV carried are too much for the music channel to broadcast.

Jared Leto blogged about the decision and clearly he is not happy. He made his outburst clear and he detailed out the reason why this video got band. The new video that premiers today does not have any print work from the rapper.

UPDATED: MTV claims and denies they have banned the video. It seems that the whole entertainment scene got it wrong. Apparently, the list of restriction was imposed by another entertainment channel, and was highlighted by Jared Leto after this article was published. We are sorry for the mistakes.

This week, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be releasing in 3D across our land. Despite the movie franchise so far has not been much outstanding, many are still mesmerized by the magical world of Narnia, the world C S Lewis created in the 50's, a resonance to the world of Middle Earth in the Lord of the Rings. Indeed, we are hoping 20th Century Fox can bring something different to redeem the excitement the first movie was built upon.

The third Narnia movie will again features some exciting songs on its soundtrack. Carrie Underwood announced on her official website that she has co-written and recorded a song specially for the movie. It was further confirmed that the you will be able to listen to the track on the end credits of the movie.

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GOOGLE CHROME AND ROCKMELT: FROM GTB'S POV (PART 1)

Internet browsing is essential. Not only information are at the finger tips across the million of miles of cable networking between the portal across the gadgets around the world created a mesh work we knew as internet, but the pleasure of establishing a social network with Facebook and Twitter has been a tremendous phenomenon in recent time. The whole internet experience is incomplete if there isn't social networking and social networking isn't fun without an internet browser that does all the thinking and talking. There are connected by a tie of need for socializing, updating and sharing among the global 2 billion internet users.

RockMelt and Google Chrome look alike but differ in functionalities

If you are reading this, let GTW tells you another reason why you should ditch your Internet Explorer or to some extent the Mozilla Firefox. While Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 4 beta are making some news over their improvements, the internet users are still skeptical. Both are still widely used because there are the gold standard browsers to be beaten. Around 2008, Google introduced Google Chrome web browser, entering the game with much hypes and positive reviews for those who have been marveled by its simplicity, faster browsing experience and great notch up in performance over the gold standard. IE remains popular among 89% of the Chinese users while Google Chrome is packing steady and healthy growth since inception.

Now, enters another player - code name RockMelt. Launched about a fortnight ago, RockMelt raised the bar of social network and internet browsing to a step higher. RockMelt is a proprietary social media web browser developed by Tim Howes and Eric Vishria and backed by Netscape founder Marc Andreessen. Anyone could have remembered how IE was almost beaten by Netscape, the reason it didn't happened that time was the dominant of Microsoft in helping IE to control the market share of 95%. That was history but the history can be re-written because RockMelt is great in many angles.

Now the question is, WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GOOGLE CHROME AND ROCKMELT?

Upon the first look, there aren't much differences. Both Chrome and RockMelt are the true alternative and respectable replacement to IE. Both share the same smooth and silky Chromium interface with rounded edge and simplicity, as well as providing a larger browsing area with less toolbars to worry about. In other words, the layout is the equality for both. Any general opinions about both browsers are solely the opinions of the author. The author does not hold responsibility for any contradicting opinions from the readers.

CATEGORY 1: FIRST IMPRESSION - SIMPLE LAYOUT WITH CHROMIUM

Google Chrome layout: Chromium style - slick and simple, with variety of themes to choose on.

CHROME NOTES: Here's the comparison. First, from start up, Google Chrome is decorated with a variety of theme background that resembles Firefox since both were shared and developed by Google. The list of theme backgrounds are personal and an exquisite touch up to the browser from one artistic and abstract point of view. Other than that, the start up for Chrome is exquisite, organized thumbs and icons that arrange your favorite site ideally according to the frequency and usability. This feature has now expanded its wings to other popular browser but it all started here, while the advantage is that it is still slick and smooth.

RockMelt requires you to login before you are able to start using it. Facebook is the primary contact choice to begin with.

RockMelt resembles Chrome in many way - including the start up

ROCKMELT NOTES: In comparison, the start up for RockMelt requires the users to login into their Facebook account. To generalizes it up in a simpler sentence; RockMelt won't work if you are Facebook-blind or one who less enthusiast with the number one social networking site. Do not expect to login with Friendster or Myspace, but it is safe to assume that almost everyone has a Facebook account. However, once you are in, users are able to appreciate the same trace of Chromium taste on its start up. The icons are arranged in order and as organized as the Chrome.

VERDICT:

1) Layout personal touch - CHROME (you can tune up your own backgrounds and themes from the same archive with Firefox while RockMelt does not have the distinguish feature yet or else it is just a copycat even if they do have one) - 2 marks

2) Layout usability and access - CHROME (If you do not have Facebook, which I think some may not have, this is not the thing for you. The problem with this RockMelt is that it increases the risk of your FB accounts get jacked, I think so) - 2 marks

3) Layout simplicity - ROCKMELT (RockMelt simplify the layout further by reducing the toolbars even more. At the same time, it adds two left and right sidebar for communication on social network. It looks cool after all and does not seems to distract) - 2 marks

CATEGORY 2: I UPDATE FACEBOOK A LOT, DO YOU?

Some of us may have spent hours and hours a day hooked up to Facebook. It is still the primary site for updating status, sharing some jokes or entertaining media, sending messages and to chat, or else for amusement with the Facebook games. I admit I Facebook a lot and there isn't a day I would missed it.

Google Chrome updates and chats on the same page. Statuses are however not complete and at times you might miss some others.

CHROME NOTES: Google Chrome functions as normal as possible. Type on the address bar http://facebook.com and you are hooking in. A little bit of login and you are in. One of the most useful application on Facebook is to update your status. Head over to the status comment and you are sharing to hundreds or thousands of friends.

Updating statuses are easy with RockMelt. Right hand toolbar allows more thorough updates and simplify it. Note, I am not physically on Facebook page.

ROCKMELT NOTES: However, with the RockMelt, the hassles are simplify by the right hand side tool. Add Facebook to the edge, click on it and you can update your status right away. Please do not that the picture above shows that updates through FB is possible without even physically entering Facebook. Statuses updated and goes on for real. The right toolbar allows users to check on unread notifications and statuses without physically going into Facebook site.

Another upper-hand seen with RockMelt is that there are times the feeds on Google Chrome isn't complete. From my experience, while I am using Chrome to check on other's statuses, there are at times those left unnoticed. I realized that there are some differences on the feed timeline between Chrome and RockMelt, where the latter shows several unpublished statuses, unavailable when using the Chrome's feed.

VERDICT:

1) Loading the complete feeds - ROCKMELT (No doubt, there are always a differences between the Facebook updates on the Rockmelt and when using the normal web) - 2 marks

2) Responsiveness - CHROME (During the testing, there isn't much differences in terms of responsiveness in detecting new updates. Feeds are designed not for instant but rather it usually accumulates a few before the data are established for your notifications. However, I noticed that the RockMelt's updates are usually delayed by 2 to 5 minutes, but still has more detailed updates from silent friends.) - 2 marks

3) Concept - ROCKMELT (RockMelt is designed for distinguishing itself from normal web browser. The fact that it is ease for use is nevertheless astonishing. Rather than just hope in into your FB account, while not doing it in 'new tab' mode) - 2 marks

4) Practicality - CHROME (There isn't much to say besides you have to get use to the RockMelt's way) - 1 mark since it is not a big deal!! - 1 mark

CATEGORY 3: I CHAT WITH FACEBOOK AND 'STALK' FRIENDS

Chat as usual with Google Chrome

CHROME NOTES: Conventionally, Facebook on normal browsers like Chrome allow you to see which particular friends are online at the moment. From Home, looking at the lower left site will indicates who's around for you to chat or direct message with. It is handy and just like any other browsers, you can go and comment or chat with them just by clicking on their names.

On RockMelt, go to the left hand toolbar and you will notice the friends list who appear online on Facebook. Optionally you can also run a search.

Once you found a friend, you can just type to connect. Notice again, I am not on Facebook physically.

ROCKMELT NOTES: With RockMelt, it is a whole different method. Again, without requiring you to access Facebook physically, you can chat and write on their Walls just a simple click. This time look at your left, you will notice a left hand tool bar with lots of friend's display picture in thumb nails. Finding friends is so easy, get them on and you can chat, write on the wall and send private message right away.

VERDICT:

1) Loading the updated list of friends online - ROCKMELT (I barely notice any changes on the normal web version of Facebook when it comes to finding people who are online. RockMelt is different and it ease you to find people on the stint of the left sidebar. Much subtle and convenient.) - 2 marks

2) Chatting experience - ROCKMELT (Chatting with RockMelt styles are pretty easy to do. Plus, the chatting box are created to distinguished between your conversation and your friend's. It is easier to differentiate and much alike MSN) - 2 marks

3) Concept - ROCKMELT (Just like updating status on point 2; RockMelt is designed for distinguishing itself from normal web browser. The fact that it is ease for use is nevertheless astonishing. Rather than just hope in into your FB account, while not doing it in 'new tab' mode) - 2 marks

4) Practicality - CHROME (There isn't much to say besides you have to get use to the RockMelt's way) - 1 mark since it is not a big deal!!

ROCKMELT is in lead but can it holds itself when taking into account of Twitter? (EARLY SPOILER: Not quite!) This is the end of part one analysis on the differences between Google Chrome and RockMelt. Actually both are Chromium based and there aren't much to choose from if you consider the nature of the simple layout itself. What defines RockMelt into its own zone is that it is unique and it is a new whole experience of social networking. LISTEN TO THE NEW TRON LEGACY SCORE

Tron Legacy will not be coming until December 16. Walt Disney has previewed some of six minutes of Daft Punk's Tron Legacy music score on their website. Although the link to the website has broken, there is an alternative link nevertheless.

The soundtrack is set to debut on 7 December, about a week or more before the movie release worldwide. If you have not been familiarize yourself with the whole hypes on the Tron Legacy, bet you should check this new trailer which has been landed online last week.

ALL HAIL VETTEL, RED BULL RACING

Fernando Alonso entered the weekend for the last race in Abu Dhabi with a destiny on his own to nurture. He was leading the closest and tightest Formula One Championship battle ever in the recent memory with a mere 8 points ahead of title rival Mark Webber, 15 ahead of Sebastian Vettel and 24 ahead of Lewis Hamilton. With huge points awarded for classified finish this season, let's assumes that thimhs can go the other way in a swift move.

However, the outcome of last night's dawn-to-night race at Abu Dhabi produced a different story at the end. Sebastian Vettel takes things to the different way by winning the last race of the season and eventually the Drivers champion. At the age of 23, Vettel becomes the youngest world champion ever.

Ferrari's championship leader Fernando Alonso came with a disappointing seventh while another Red Bull's title hopeful Webber was eight.

Coming into the race, the mathematics is pretty straight forward for the title contenders:

Lewis Hamiton will win if all the title failed to finish with points.
Fernando will win if he finished fourth regardless of others final position.
Mark Webber will win if he finished first with Alonso third.
Sebastian Vettel will win if he finished first with Alonso finished outside the top five.

The race started with Vettel grabbing the pole position from Hamilton, Alonso, Button and Webber on Saturday's finger-biting fight. On Turn One, Button leap ahead to third as Alonso made a poor start. Then on Turn Six, veteran Michael Schumacher had a scared of his life by surviving a crash with Vitantonio Liuzzi. Safety car was deployed and stayed until Lap 5.

Once the track is cleared Vettel started to pull away with a clean ahead of him. Alonso and Button worked behind while Alonso was certainly busy to keep Webber at bay.

Coming in for a pit at Lap 12, Webber made a gamble with a pit pushing to harder tyres strategy
but he rejoined in 16th place with momentarily got stuck behind Torro Roso's Jamie Alguersuari. Massa was then asked to pit, hoping that he will rejoin in front of the Aussie but that didn't work as well.

It seems that Ferrari was threating Webber as the main threat. Thus, they decided to pit Alonso on Lap 15, switching to hard tyres. That proved to be disastrous call as well. Alonso spent most of his remaining race behind Renault's Vitaly Petrov and in front of Webber. Down in 11th, Alonso struggled to past the Russian and made countless mistakes over the course.

Up front, another Renault was also holding Hamilton from the second spot. While Robert Kubica has yet to make a pit, Vettel had a comfortable cruise by punching down fastest laps and relinquishing the hope for a magnificent glory. When the Pole pits, the question remains if he would rejoin in front of Alonso. When that hopeful tactic for Ferrari failed, the title dream for the Spaniard seems to fall away.

In the end it was Vettel cruising to the chequered flag to earn himself the fifth win of the season and more crucially the Drivers Championship. The atmosphere at th epit wall was sparkled with ecstasy for the Red Bull Racing. Vettel won the season with four points ahead Alonso, becoming the youngest champion ever. With his win, it is time to reflect what a year it was in the end. Now we can look forward for the next season. See you again in 2011.

SCENARIO: Now, imagine yourself in China now and never mind which part of China is it. So, let's say you want to go to the Big Apple city - New York. Got the situation in your head now? GOOD.
So, you decide to drive and you are lost, what application would be handful? Google Maps. GOOD.
Have you go into the Google Maps already? Now do what exactly I tell you.

STEP 1: Go to Google Maps
Sure you are there now.

STEP 2: Click on Get Directions
Forget about walking, it's too far. Rent a car instead, so click the tab "By Car" - much subtle.

STEP 3: Now, type in China as starting point. Done? Move on to step 4.

STEP 4: Type in New York as ending point. And then, click Get Direction of course.

There you have - 19637 km and it takes you 38 days and 17 hours to reach New York. WHAT? TAKE 38 DAYS and 17 HOURS. Oh, I forgot, we are driving! But to be honest with you, I mentioned about the joke didn't I?

RED BULL RACING CLINCHES F1 CONSTRUCTOR TITLE

It could not have gone worst for the Red Bull Racing team for not clinching the title earlier at Korea a fortnight ago. Last race at Yeongnam circuit produced one of the most set-back result ever in this year calendar when both Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel failed to finish, delaying the awaited moment and surrendering the driver's title to Ferrari's Fernando Alonso. Despite the delay, Red Bull Racing has finally clinched the 2010 World Constructors title with one race away following a 1-2 finish at Interlagos.

Last night's race again tells the similar story like what it had been told since earlier this season. The Red Bull Racing has been no doubt the most dominant force in the sport this year, but the blame-game should be pointed to the fact that the consistency and reliability remains one of the issue that requires Adrian Neway, the key technical behind the team to ponder off for the next season.

Clearly, despite having the fastest car and the most aerodynamically available cars, the dominant has yet to transcend into a clearer picture. RBR suffers a lot of unexpected result including a double retirement at the new circuit in Korea. Sebastian Vettel despite has chalked up 9 pole positions this year, but he only managed to translated them into victory twice, in Valencia and Suzuka for that effort. He also won 2 other races this year at Sepang and last night at Interlagos. Team-mate Mark Webber grabbed 5 poles this year with 2 wins from it in Barcelona and Monaco.

The pale statistic seems unmatchable for both drivers to unseat Alonso, who has won 5 races and leading the World Championship on Drivers category heading to next weekend season finale at Abu Dhabi but a margin of 8 points.

Vettel won the Interlagos with style and clear dominant, despite Nico Hulkenberg made a major upset by grabbing the pole, the first for Williams since 2005. Vettel wins ahead of team-mate Webber to accomplish the team's fourth 1-2 finish of the season. Alonso grabbed the other podium slot to ensure that he will continue to lead the World Championship until next weekend. With the result, Red Bull Racing has scored 469 points ahead of McLaren's 421 with a maximum 43 points margin needed to win. Ferrari is third with 389 points.

On the Driver's table, Alonso leads with 246 points, 8 ahead of Mark Webber and 15 ahead of Sebastian Vettel. Lewis Hamilton is fourth with 24 points behind the leader, but mathematically still possesses a chance to clinch the title under odd circumstances. So forth, the title for the 2010 Drivers Championship will be decided in Abu Dhabi.

When Red Bull entered Formula 1, I was a small boy. If I compare the place then to now, there is massive progress. It's not always investing money, it is time, patience and a lot of passion.

TOMORROW IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR SAMSUNG CONTINUUM OR GOOGLE NEXUS TWO?

The rumors on the continuation in the Google's softly-accepted Nexus One have been fired up wildly over the internet over the past week. Google Nexus Two, as some including those peoples in Gizmodo has claimed, will be the new phone released by Samsung on the eventful day of 8th November (which is tomorrow). However, another source debunked it by claiming that Samsung is launching a new model known as Samsung Continuum i400 tomorrow.

Yes, Samsung Continuum will be unveiled within this week, exclusively available by Verizon in the United States at the price of US$199. So what is a Samsung Continuum anyway? It is believed to be a new smartphone that takes into very much similarity with Samsung Fascinate and other Galaxy S series. The new device runs on a 1 GHz processor Hummingbird that powered by Android 2.1, a five megapixel camera with LED flash, and mobile hotspot capability. YOU MAKE IT A HIT, NOW COMES A SEQUEL SORT OFF

How can you forget this monster hit? The summer's biggest single, Love The Way You Lie is reportedly and officially has a sequel. The song, 'part 2' it is nick-named as, will have the singers played a reverse role with Rihanna making the lead by telling the story about the abusive couple while Eminem takes the last verse towards the end. Telling you the truth here is that I am not sure if I like the idea of having a sequel that tries so hard to mimic the initial success of the single. After repeatedly listening to the new tune, I thought that it wasn;t that bad at all.

The single Love The way You Lie by Eminem which featured Rihanna has become a monster hit, spending 7 consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard Hot 100 singles and sitting prettily atop on 23 other charts. It is featured in Eminem's seventh studio album Recovery and that both album and song are multi-platinum winner. With the imminent success, the sequel has been planned and while Rihanna was 'very against' the idea at first, but she recorded it for her new album 'Loud' due this November 18.

So far we cannot find the music video for you to view since Universal Music has taken all the "leak video" out of YouTube. Anyway, enjoy the original single below. Now I am wondering if both Dominic Monaghan and Megan Fox will be back for the sequel's music video.

TUESDAY TV: PILOT OF HAWAII FIVE-O KICKS ASS

INTRODUCTION The pilot of one of the most awaited new TV series in CBS has arrived. Hawaii Five-O, re-imagines the hit TV series that spanned 12 seasons back in 1968-1980 and developed a popular cult following. What's so different with this brand new Hawaii Five-O? Not much. Fans will have something to love about the old one while may also share some love towards this new version as well. Hawaii Five-O in my opinion, is one of the best pilot episode for this year's new US television series. Not even The Event nor Undercovers could save their best to fight against this cop series. In the first episode (S01E01) - Pilot, director Len Wiseman who single-handly put some high octane action rush in Bruce Willis' Live Hard or Die Harder (Die Hard 4), placed the same formula again with decent script by the exec-producer duo of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. PLOT In the pilot, Navy SEAL Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) returns to his native Hawaii to investigate the murder of his father, John McGarrett, who was an officer in the Honolulu Police Department. He is enlisted by the Governor of Hawaii, a friend of his father's, to head a new task force with legal immunity to clean up the underworld of Oahu. In turn, McGarrett enlists Honolulu newcomer Danny Williams (Scott Caan), a divorced detective who moved from New Jersey to be closer to his daughter; Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim), a disgraced police officer and a protege of McGarrett's father who was wrongly accused of corruption; and Kona Kalakaua (Grace Park), Chin Ho's cousin, a former surfer and soon-to-be Police Academy graduate. Together they discover a link between the man who killed McGarrett's father and a Chinese human trafficking ring with a mole in HPD.

REVIEW The new version of Hawaii Five-O opens with smart, slicky, sharp and highly action-pack that you could not miss. Intriguing plot and dialogue, although not estranging some awkwardness, the pilot is simply a testimonial for what to expect in the later of this season. Cops drama begins to look fun again for me after so much 'failure to launch' cops drama, save The Mentalist. But well done CBS!

The pilot opens with 14.1 million viewers and averaging 13.82 million viewership on Monday 9/10.

MONDAY MOVIE: THE WARRIOR'S WAY LOOKS KICK-ASS

One movie has shunned from our radar so greatly that many of us has missed it. Now, Rogue has slated this for an opening on 3 December 2010 in US and in Malaysia.

The Warrior's Way, an upcoming 2010 English fantasy action film starring Kate Bosworth, Geoffrey Rush, Danny Huston, Tony Cox and South Korean actor Jang Dong-gun. It was written and directed by Sngmoo Lee, and is being produced by Barrie Osborne who also produced Lord of the Rings. The production has started since 2008.

The fantasy film revolves around an Asian warrior played by Jang, who is forced to hide in a small town in the American badlands after defying the last mission to kill the infant, supposedly the last of a clan-cleansing. He meets the town drunk played by Rush, and a circus knife thrower played by Bosworth, both of whom have powerful secrets. The trailer is available after the jump.

The first look on the movie in the form of the trailer looks amazing. Amazing fighting scenes, contrary distinguished cinematography background and an ensemble casting - this looks like an Americanized martial art film from the East. Watch the trailer below and enjoy:

MUSIC SUNDAY: IS LINKIN PARK LOSING IT'S CLASSIC TUNES?

Music Monday Edition 001

The topic of the day is relatively simple. The one question I would like to ask is that, in conjunction with the release of Linkin Park's new album A Thousand Suns, 'Is Linkin Park losing it's classic tune?'

Many, if not all may have heard their brand new single, The Catalyst. The Catalyst is a clear departure from their trademark and comfort zone of nu metal hits in the past like those in their previous hit albums Meteora and Minutes To Midnight. Besides retaining some forms of alternative vibrant on The Catalyst, there are more growing tendency of fusing electronic rhythm too. I would say it is not that bad after all.

There are some complaints from the fans regarding this new sounds. The fallacy falls in completely over the decision of Linkin Park to create such a mixture and for the fans, it has lost all the meaning of the old Linkin Park features. So did Linkin Park loses their trademark classical tunes of hard rock bliss that defines who they were in the past? No, they didn't.

A Thousand Suns is an experimental album. It marks Linkin Park heavy departure from their original sounds but it is not a bad thing after all. The surplus here is that Linkin Park have borrow some musical chant energy from Muse as well as political indulgences from Green Day. It is an end product that defines the new vibrants and ultimately the new direction for this album. Linkin Park may have try something new, but it is still a blissful and enjoyable song to capture the eardrums. The Catalyst contains slow transition of nu metalic electronic fusion that redefines the landscape of their sounds.

MALAYSIA DAY: THE REAL NATIONAL DAY STORY

This will be a three part article. First, we look at the real story behind the independence of Malaya.

It has been a long time since I wrote something that smells like a political ditch in this blog. Well, if you truly called what I am about to write as something political, I would rather called it an enlightenment and history. This year marks our first time ever celebrating Malaysia Day. You may ask, what is this Malaysia Day is all about? Of course, the education we perceived throughout the long years of been struck under the same syllabus of history textbook has taught us that the 'Independence Day' was 31 August 1957, while failed to acknowledge the true existence of Malaysia itself which occurred on 16 September 1963. Ask yourself this, are you conscience enough as a Malaysian to realize the contrary between both National Day and Malaysia Day?

Let's turn our attention back on the real independence story. The Federation of Malaya consisted of the 11 states in the Penisular Malaysia, achieved independence back in August 31, 1957. We all learned that Tunku Abdul Rahman led a delegation to London to discuss the road to independence. Since the history textbook told you that UMNO start rolling the ball on the road for independence, we are asked to remember that and believe that. However, there is another side of the story regarding the independence. The coins will always have two sides in parity, equally chance of getting a head or tail when it is tossed.

So, what the history book failed to inform you is that the movement towards the independence of Malaysia? The first movement to initiate the demand for independence was made 10 years earlier by the Alliance PUTERA-AMCJA, the first think tank that consists of all races; even earlier than what was claimed to be the first unity coalition of UMON, MCA and MIC. While the British favoured anyone that goes along with them, PUTERA-AMCJA adopted a leftist struggle for the independence. According to Dinesweri Puspanadan from National Express Malaysia, the mutual alliance of PUTERA-AMCJA is denoted as:

PUTERA-AMCJA was the first multiracial Alliance which included three main races, Malay, Chinese, and Indians and also was the first to spread the thought of Merdeka among people. In this context, UMNO was silent about Merdeka for almost 10 years. While UMNO was busy sketching draft of the Federation, PUTERA-AMCJA collected all the voices to fight for Independence and structured a new constitution after some brainstorming sessions with all the main races and this constitution was known as People's Constitution. While that, this alliance protested and expressed their rejection to the Federation as they felt the Federation was again paved way for British's full power on Malaya which would make the process towards Independence difficult. UMNO's willingness to cooperate with British angered PUTERA-AMCJA as they believed UMNO was a traitor for jeopardizing people's welfare by nodding their head to British's demands.

The only reason why UMNO been successfully in making their own history is that they were favoured by the Colonial and was treated as nothing more than a loyal pet. The sentiments of racial integration was rising, but only made difficult because of the racial slur tongued out the goons in UMNO. Till this day, some fraction members still asking the Chinese and Indians to "Balik Kampung".

Then the author went on and said:

The fact that Malaya gained its Independence without dropping a single blood is a blatant lie! UMNO was not involved in the war and struggle to free the nation but behind the Independence enjoyed by every Malaysian today for almost 53 years(Looking at current situation, it is not fair to call it as a 'freedom'), there are untold sacrifices, unappreciated warriors who swept out all the differences and united to free Malaya.

One can agree, true to strong union between the three races in the coalition of PUTERA-AMCJA, the spirit of 1Malaysia existed since 1946. I just want to say, 1Malaysia spirit is a mask to cover up some hidden agenda!
