WORLD CUP: MATCHDAY STATS 12 JUNE

The second day of the competition saw three group matches held. Two matches from Group B and one from Group C were played and little surprise has been produced. The Taegeuk Warriors have a fine day yesterday by beating the lackluster Greek on the opening match of Group B. Argentina has a tough time cracking on Nigeria's goal while on the Group C match; England managed only a draw with USA. Both Nigeria and USA have their goalkeeper to thank for. The sounds of vuvuzelas and the artcraft of makarapa are filling up the atmosphere for the first World Cup in African continent.

Here are the highlights from yesterday's matches.
