IS MALAYSIA GOING ALL BACKWARD NOW?

THE FURY ANIMALS 001

IS MALAYSIA GOING ALL BACKWARD NOW?

When the administrative executives change hand, so does the policy of task force been employed too. A leader comes and goes, leaving behind him a legacy which may affect the outcome and course towards the future.

In 1957 when Tunku Abdul Rahman became our 1st PM, he led Malaya (later with Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore as Malaysia) out from the grip of British imperialisme and launching our baby steps into nation building. We are now proud to call ourselves almost (I repeat - ALMOST) at the similar level to the other more developed nations. Behind this rational statement, lies a reality and ugly truth on how much we are still lag behind from others.

When Latte asked Mocha's opinion about the 1Malaysia concept, it is not the intention of Mocha to belittle such a 'crap' idea but the reality is clear that unity has been existed way back in time before the independence.

When Dr M came into power in 1981-2003, he introduced the notion of Wawasan 2020 (Vision 2020) - an idea in which Malaysia will be transformed into a fully developed nation by 2020. With 11 years to go, what do we get? STILL FAR FROM BEEN ONE or merely just too ambitious.

Then comes Pak Lah as PM in 2003-2009. He maybe notorious for his sleeping habit but he introduced a modest approach that lied on the conceptual of Cemerlang, Gemilang, Terbilang (anyone knew the English translation for this?) to tackle public performance and corruption matters. After all the years, what do we get? PUBLIC PERFORMANCE STILL AT OLD LEVEL and corruption persists. Even so, should it be done earlier before coming out VISION 2020?

Early this year when the Najib Tun Razak rised to power, he introduced the concept of 1Malaysia Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan (People First, Performance Now). Again, the guy emphasised on building the nation based on unity and borrowing the failed theme from the previous PM to ractify and endorse a better public performances. Even so, should this concept been laid forward during our independence?

Coming to this point, let me ask you - Is Malaysia Going All Backward Now? Look at the timeline I created and you will know what I mean.
