WHAT IS GOOD ON THE TUBE? (PART TWO)

So, you remember that I have promised you the second part of this article. Well, GreenTea never forget about this one. Here is the part two of some great shows arriving on our tube box now. The first part I have covered Blood Ties, Cupid, Burn Notice and The Mentalist. For part two, let's look at another three more, shall we?

SUPERNATURAL Season 3 (Wiki)
Been skeptical about the quality of this brothers hunting down the supernaturalism and witchcraft of terror? Fear not, they are damn good.

Currently, it is shown on TV3, every Sunday 10PM. The brothers just can't get you hooked up right?

"Supernatural tells the story of Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) two brothers who fight creatures that most people don't believe exist. The brothers lost their mother as children in a fire with supernatural elements. As a result, their father devoted his life to finding out what killed his wife, and seeking revenge. He brought his sons on the road with him, training them to fight evil. Sam left this life as a hunter in order to attend college at Stanford University, while Dean stayed with their father and helped with demon hunting. When their father suddenly disappears, Dean seeks Sam's assistance in finding him, and the brothers travel around the country in a black 1967 Chevrolet Impala investigating paranormal events and other unexplained occurrences, many of them based on folklore, myths, and American urban legends, and others based on classic tales of supernatural creatures, such as vampires, werewolves, and ghosts."

LEVERAGE (Wiki)
Keen for a revenge? Now you have one team put together by a former insurance investigator. Putting in your tactical suit and draw your genius plan now, then take it to the Robin Hood style.

Currently, it is shown on AXN, every Monday 9PM. They are now back for season 2 in US so be rejoice.

"Leverage follows a five-person team of thieves, computer experts and con artists, headed up by former insurance investigator Nate Ford, who use their skills to right corporate and governmental injustices inflicted on common citizens. The team was formed in Chicago before moving to Los Angeles headquarters in Season One. Although disbanded at the end of the season, the team members gathered. then reformed in Boston after persuading Ford to lead them again, and have set up a new base in Ford's loft apartment."

FRINGE (Wiki)
The pseudo-science or fringe science – a concept of science that works on paper but not quite on reality now explores its way to the tube in style. Scientific facts has never been so tempting as it is since X-Files.

Currently waiting for a release in NTV7. Fringe and The Mentalist were both a few of those most watched TV series in US television when a fact to ponder was that both shows were shown at the same time.

"Fringe follows the exploits of FBI special agent Olivia Dunham, mad scientist Walter Bishop, and his son “jack of all trades” Peter Bishop as they investigate aspects of fringe science (rare diseases, cryptids, transhumans with psychic abilities, teleportation, and so forth). All over the world, a series of apparent experiments collectively referred to as "the Pattern" (e.g., a newborn baby who rapidly ages and dies within a few hours, a bus full of passengers trapped in a strange substance like mosquitoes in amber) are occurring for reasons unknown. Olivia, Peter, and Walter are in charge of investigating these strange events to determine their source. Connected to the Pattern is Massive Dynamic, a leading global research company that holds the patents for a number of new and important technologies. Their enemy is ZFT, a bioterrorist organization which is orchestrating all of the strange occurrences in order to prepare for a destructive technological singularity."

WHAT IS GOOD ON THE TUBE? (PART ONE)

Good question. In fact anyone whom loves watching TV shows while sitting on the lazy couch munching snickers or popcorn would fine this question as something easy to answer. However, been hectic busy in our routine life means that we constantly miss any chances to enjoy those TV series. Fear not, I would features several TV series in this post especially several of them which have been new or quite recently starts their latest season on the tube box.

BLOODTIES (Wiki)
Vampire has never been this hot and enjoyable since the cancellation of Angel in 2004.

Currently, it is shown on TV2, every Wednesday 12AM. However, fans may get frustrated because the show only run for a season of 22 episodes only.

"The series centres around Christina Cox as Vicki Nelson, a former TPS cop who left the force to become a private investigator after beginning to lose her eyesight. Through her work she teams up with the 480-year-old vampire Henry Fitzroy, who happens to be the illegitimate son of Henry VIII. The mutual attraction between them is complicated by Vicki's relationship with former partner and lover, Mike Celluci. In the beginning, he doesn't believe in the supernatural and thinks that Vicki is losing her mind along with her eyesight."

CUPID (Wiki)
Do you believe in our love been ignited by someone we never expected?

Currently, it is shown on 8TV, every Tuesday 9.30PM. Premiered on March at US, the series is a revival of 1998's same name TV series.

Bobby Cannavale and Sarah Paulson star in this series while singer Rob Thomas is one of the executive producer. "This series is about a larger-than-life character who may or may not be the Roman god of love — Cupid — sent to earth to bring one hundred couples together before he is allowed to return to Mt. Olympus. Whether by fate or other circumstances, Trevor Pierce (Bobby Cannavale) is under the care of psychiatrist and self-help author Dr. Claire McCrae (Sarah Paulson), whose own work is often based in romantic relationships. Claire's philosophy on true love is that it's the result of building friendship and compatibility. Trevor, by contrast, views it as heat and passion conquering all."

BURN NOTICE Season 2 (Wiki)
Life is constantly dangerous but constantly in hilarious acts.

Currently, it is shown on 8TV, every Monday 10.30PM. The show has now reach fourth season but each season only consists of 12 or 16 episodes.

"The title refers to the burn notices issued by intelligence agencies to discredit or announce the dismissal of agents or sources who are considered to have become unreliable. When a spy is burned, they are "wiped off the grid". According to the narration during the opening credits, the burned spy has no prior work history, no money; in essence, no identity. The television series is a first-person narrative (including frequent voice-overs providing nuggets of exposition) from the viewpoint of covert-operations agent Michael Westen, played by Jeffrey Donovan."

THE MENTALIST (Wiki)
Investigation series with a bigger surprise but you need more than a normal human capability – psychic.

Currently, it is shown on NTV7, every Saturday 8.30PM. It is one of the highest viewed new shows for 2008/2009 TV season.

"Simon Baker stars as Patrick Jane, an independent consultant with the fictional California Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He has a remarkable track record for solving serious crimes by using his amazing skills of observation (reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes and Shawn Spencer, the protagonist of the TV series Psych on USA Network). He also makes frequent use of his mentalist abilities and his semi-celebrity past as a psychic medium using paranormal abilities he now admits he feigned. He abandoned his pretense out of remorse when his attention-seeking behavior attracted the attention of a serial killer who killed his family."

There will be more series in the next part. You know, I have 7 to introduce but only 4 for part one. Stay tune for part 2 ok!!

FRINGE Glyphs

Following the ever increasing popular series Fringe, hereby I would love to introduce to you a new word known as "Glyphys" in which I bet many had bever even heard it before.

Glyph is an element of writing, often found via archeaology excavation which may turn out to be some sort of carved or inscribed symbols. A glyph can be a pictogram or ideogram, a syllable or even a logogram.
For example, look at this Mayan glyph taken in one of those Mayan civilization excavation site which may means something.

Well interestingly, these glyphs are excerpts of the symbols used and available in the series Fringe. Let's look at those:

Apple glyph with human embyos instead of seeds...Imagine the life!!

Butterfly glyph...notice that the wings are formed from some bony structures!!

Flower glyph of some petals of daisy...notice the dragonfly wings resembled by the petals!!

Frog glyph with the symbol for Phi on the back!! Phi

Hand glyph with six fingers!!

Horn glyph with  Fibonacci spiral and again Phi on it!!

Leaf glyph with the triangle symbol on it that represents Delta!!

Seahorse glyph again with the Fibonacci spiral!!

Smoke glyph that forms a woman's face....

Note: Phi is a Greek letter that used to represent the number 1.6180339887...., a key number in the Golden Ratio. This number represents the perfect balance of proportion in human and nature...for example the ratio between your bones in the fingers... It was also mentioned in Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code.

Weekly ratings staged at around 3.0 to 5.1 million viewers. Shannon Doherty, the pretty chick from the original 90210 and Charmed will make a guest appearance on the show.
