YOU MAKE IT A HIT, NOW COMES A SEQUEL SORT OFF

How can you forget this monster hit? The summer's biggest single, Love The Way You Lie is reportedly and officially has a sequel. The song, 'part 2' it is nick-named as, will have the singers played a reverse role with Rihanna making the lead by telling the story about the abusive couple while Eminem takes the last verse towards the end. Telling you the truth here is that I am not sure if I like the idea of having a sequel that tries so hard to mimic the initial success of the single. After repeatedly listening to the new tune, I thought that it wasn;t that bad at all.
The single Love The way You Lie by Eminem which featured Rihanna has become a monster hit, spending 7 consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard Hot 100 singles and sitting prettily atop on 23 other charts. It is featured in Eminem's seventh studio album Recovery and that both album and song are multi-platinum winner. With the imminent success, the sequel has been planned and while Rihanna was 'very against' the idea at first, but she recorded it for her new album 'Loud' due this November 18.

MONDAY MOVIE: THE WARRIOR'S WAY LOOKS KICK-ASS

One movie has shunned from our radar so greatly that many of us has missed it. Now, Rogue has slated this for an opening on 3 December 2010 in US and in Malaysia.

The Warrior's Way, an upcoming 2010 English fantasy action film starring Kate Bosworth, Geoffrey Rush, Danny Huston, Tony Cox and South Korean actor Jang Dong-gun. It was written and directed by Sngmoo Lee, and is being produced by Barrie Osborne who also produced Lord of the Rings. The production has started since 2008.

The fantasy film revolves around an Asian warrior played by Jang, who is forced to hide in a small town in the American badlands after defying the last mission to kill the infant, supposedly the last of a clan-cleansing. He meets the town drunk played by Rush, and a circus knife thrower played by Bosworth, both of whom have powerful secrets. The trailer is available after the jump.

MUSIC SUNDAY: IS LINKIN PARK LOSING IT'S CLASSIC TUNES?

Music Monday Edition 001

The topic of the day is relatively simple. The one question I would like to ask is that, in conjunction with the release of Linkin Park's new album A Thousand Suns, 'Is Linkin Park losing it's classic tune?'

Many, if not all may have heard their brand new single, The Catalyst. The Catalyst is a clear departure from their trademark and comfort zone of nu metal hits in the past like those in their previous hit albums Meteora and Minutes To Midnight. Besides retaining some forms of alternative vibrant on The Catalyst, there are more growing tendency of fusing electronic rhythm too. I would say it is not that bad after all.

There are some complaints from the fans regarding this new sounds. The fallacy falls in completely over the decision of Linkin Park to create such a mixture and for the fans, it has lost all the meaning of the old Linkin Park features. So did Linkin Park loses their trademark classical tunes of hard rock bliss that defines who they were in the past? No, they didn't.

LADY GAGA IS THE BIGGEST MONSTER OF THE NIGHT

If Lady Gaga can proved that the fashion styles and music styles that she brought are not anything to stop her from been who she is today, last night's (in USA) 8 wins in the MTV Video Music Awards tells you so much more than to cement that statement. Receiving 13 nominations (18 if including her collaboration with Beyonce) to begin with, she took home 8 moon-man trophies. Most of her cops came from the same video that spawned almost 300 million views in Youtube. Ironically, her other rival in Youtube viewerships, Justin Bieber won only an award although he is still the most watched video on the video-sharing site.

VMA happened last night and was hosted by Chelsea Handler, a bubbly stand-up comedian for the E! Well cut things short, here are the winners last night:

LADY GAGA - Bad Romance (7 wins)

Video of the Year
Best Female Video
Best Pop Video
Best Dance Video
Best Direction in a Video
Best Choreography in a Video
Best Editing in a Video

EMINEM - Not Afraid (2 wins)

HOW TO SOLVE ENGINEERING QUESTIONS WITH INCEPTION SKILLS

Arrgggh....Engineering questions are never been easy and it takes much more cerebral fluid to handle one of them. It should not be an understatement when I say that the life of an engineering student is never easy. Oh, it is not just some fancy statement at all; but it involves a lot of analytical, understanding and commitment to study such! Fret not as some say that an engineer never worries for the answer but they only care about how to derive such an answer. Proof is?

However, some form of skills are still needed in solving some form of engineering problems! What skills you asked? With the movie Inception is recently been getting a lot of rave reviews and attention; I personally thought it was the best film so far (REVIEW) and no doubt an entertaining mind-bending sci-fi movie ever. It comes to much of surprise (even to myself) when I found out that using some Inception skills can help you to solve some engineering problems. In case you are dealing something related to engineering, why not check this out:

EMINEM'S LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE

Many may have heard the Eminem's latest hit single playing on the radio speakers recently. Yes, I'm talking about "Love The Way You Lie" which features the vocal talent of the Barbadian sensational Rihanna has stormed into the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks now - marking Eminem's fourth and Rihanna's seventh number one Hot 100 in their career.

If you think the song is awesome, wait till you watch the official music video. As usual, the video is below for viewing pleasure:

After watching that music video, I realized that not only the song itself is awesome but the video is too. Why you ask? Not only the song discovers the reality of having an abusive romantic relationship, but the elements of fire used in the video talks about the pain in enduring such too. Maybe it is true with what Rihanna had said, "Just gonna stand there and watch me burn, Well that's alright because I love the way it hurts." After all, Rihanna had one bad abusive turnout with Chris Brown once!

Not forgetting the fact that this video has four celebrities inside too:

EMINEM + RIHANNA + MEGAN FOX + DOMINIC MONAGHAN

This awesome video reminds of Stan! 22 million views in less than 5 days tells you a lot about it don't it?

THE MAGIC OF INCEPTION....

Inception has finally landed since last week in the cinematical shores. So have you watched it yet? No, haven't? You should take some time to go and watch it. Chances are that it will really fucked your mind so hard that you think Transformers 2 was achingly bloody stupid. Watching Inception burns the mind-power but you have to admit that after 148 minutes inside the theater, you got one piece of action-thrilling-amazingly awesome movie. No doubt, Inception is the BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR and will definitely be the MOVIE OF THE YEAR!

Mombasa - Hans Zimmer - Inception Soundtrack

Realizing Inception is a tough subject matter that many can left baffled throughout the whole movie or at the point of the ending of the movie, I have devoted my three days three nights searching for the answers of some of the most technical understanding regarding the movie. I wrote from the basic necessity of acquiring something before you go into the theater watching to the point you leave the theater and discussing the movie itself. The result, I wrote one of my best article ever at GREEN TEA MOVIE. Check that out at this link: http://greenteamovie.blogspot.com/2010/07/guide-and-inception-explained.html

So, what is that magic from Inception and that particular article has pulled out for me?

Fig 1: Weekly analytic traffic (Note that the article was written on 17 July 2010)

Fig 2: Weekly analytic traffic in table form

WAIT!! DID YOU OFF THE MUSIC ABOVE YET? *This is the best song in the whole soundtrack*
Time - Hans Zimmer - Inception Soundtrack

In addition to that, the article was also been featured in http://open.salon.com, http://metafilter.com and in various other forums that support and discuss about the movie. On another note, Inception has truly get what it deserved and the fans has been chatting about it for week. Isn't it interesting to discuss a movie that has open so much possibilities, theories and excitement?

In a nutshell, I realize that:

  1. Write something that is popular on search engine and most talked about to gain traffic from search engine.
  2. GREEN TEA MOVIE has more than 88% traffic originating from countries that are not covered by Nuffnang and that means even with such a traffic, the earning will not much be affected.
  3. If you want to write about something, make sure you know the stuffs you are writing back and forth.

MY MIND IS THE SCENE OF THE CRIME

Mind can be a dangerous place. It resembles a jigsaw puzzle and it can be very complicated. It holds undeniably dark and bright vague secrets. Mind is the storage of the fondest and the bitterest memory. Mind is also the the largest playground of unimaginable fantasy. What's in your mind remain yours but someday, science and technology will break the frontier that no one has ever imagined off. Perhaps, that day is drawing near when it takes only a flick, people may just be able to intrude your skulls, navigates through your mind and steals that valuable piece of informations that has been kept secret.

Brain, minds, memory, dreams - how does this cognitive science has anything to do with our life? Plenty and its potential is border-less. If you have your mind, chances are you have your own secrets too. So do I. But first thing first, we need to protect our secrets from stolen. It gets highly difficult because Christopher Nolan has set out a team of subconscious security, led by Leonardo DiCaprio to steal our valuable secrets. I need to protect mine now.

Now, you ask - what secrets so dearly that I need to protect from? For me, it is not really a secret at all because those who knew me from my younger days may have already knew. This remains a secret because I rarely share this to anyone especially in the blogosphere. The valuable secret is also my fondest memory ever. Surely, I need to do everything I can to stop it from been stolen.

Back in the year 2002, I represented my school for some scientific competition. We are truly the underdogs but we managed to beat the crap out of many popular schools around Malaysia, you named it - Chung Ling in Penang, Aminuddin Baki KL or St Paul Seremban. (No further details will be elaborated on how I can beat the craps out of them!) The prize is a once in a lifetime trip to Stockholm and attending the Nobel Prize. Okay, you may think that this is a lie of what so ever. But till these day, I still kept the original green ticket of entrance to witness 2002 Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm. I must confess, the whole journey of 14 days to the Scandinavia is the best memory I have till today. You know why it is so precious that I can't let C Nolan and his team have it.

DAY NINE: INCEPTION WHAT?

It's Day Nine on the Blogathon Word Count.

Today, I am going to feature one movie that has been in my must-watch list since last August. I mean, it's a full year of wait - the movie will only be released this mid of July and the wait seems forever.

The movie is none other than Inception, a high concept science fiction plus heist thriller that will certainly make you on the edge of your seats. Back when the day when nothing about it been detailed off, one cannot guess what on earth this movie is all about. But it was supremely majestic and mysterious. One cannot discount what Christopher Nolan, the director for breathtaking and mind-blowing stories like Memento, The Prestige, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight; has done over the years. Nor one should discount his ability to chalk up something different, something original that has never been attempted before.

Here is the trailer of the movie that has made me continuously eager to watch and I want it badly. Go for the mind-twisting and recreation of dream now:

DAY EIGHT: TODAY I WATCH CRIMES

First of all, it's Day Eight!! Yes, Eight down, 23 to go...

This peaceful Saturday afternoon (or rather something troubling), I watched crimes. No, I'm not witnessing some jack-ass been mugged on the street, or some bitch got raped or maybe some poor dudes got shot in the skull. I watched a classic crime movie, by none other than Martin Scorsese's Casino.

Casino, a 1995 crime drama stars Scorsese's best pal - Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent. It retells the story of Frank Rosenthal, although its more like a fiction based on the factual life. Inspired by the tale of a man with plenty of cash in the vault, bank and casino.

It was as good as all the motherf**ker, f-swearing piece of shit it can be. I counted 427 F* and F* related words happily uttered in spree across the film. The story was amazingly engaging and it highlights what mobs do.

To Marty and Robert DeNiro, I salute!!

DAY SEVEN: ALEJANDRO

Little Monsters,

It's Day Seven of the Blogathon Word Count. Today it's all about the fame and the monsters. Watching the video below should be good enough to justify what a day will be. Day seven I reserved for Alejandro.

Alejandro, the third single from Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster justifies the notion that indeed she is talented. Mind not, the fashion display continues and her last night's performance in American Idol Top 5 result show continues to showcase her varieties. This time she goes Spanish-style with a little twist of ballad disco in the form of Ace of Base and ABBA. Something about the Swedish connection and some Mexican too.

Lady Gaga is as hot as the Mexican latina. Enjoy the video and I'll be back for more for Day Eight!!

DAY FOUR: ZEE AVI

It's Day Four of my Blogathon Word Count Challenge. I am beginning to appreciate the hardship to blog a post a day. It's been so long I didn't do that but eventually now I am beginning to feel the enjoyment of daily blogging. I know there may be some of the non-Malaysian will eventually take up some time to read my blog and thus, it will be great for me to introduce something from my own country - that's Malaysia.

On Day One I talked about the summer beverage treats from Starbucks Malaysia. Then on the Day Two, I was immersed myself to rant about the film Iron Man 2. On Day Three, I talked about Muse, an international alternative rock group which I have been loved for so long.

Today on Day Four, it's all about Zee Avi. Zee Avi, hailed from Sarawak, Malaysia is one of our many local talents in the relatively small music industry in Malaysia who has go beyond to the international level. As a proud local singer-song writer, guitarist and ukulele player, she has now found her fame internationally following her sign up with the Bushfire Records, a record company owned by Jack Johnson.

One of her many beautiful songs, Bitter Heart. Enjoy this music video and I am sure somewhere somehow you may find this tune very familiar!

Perhaps it's not too much to listen to the second song, Slow Hands she said:

DAY THREE: THE MUSICS OF MUSE

Muse is perhaps one of the best alternative rock group ever exported by UK in the recent eras. In comparison, we have other acts like Blur or Oasis (U2 from Ireland though) that have dominated the alternative rock sings on the 90s. They are not new although their music is still in infancy in United States. Their existence in the mainstream has been lasted since their formation in 1992.

This is not the first time I wrote about them in my blog. I love Muse and I was inspired by the differences in tunes infusion and the creativity that they always brought forward each time a new record hits the store. Muse comprised of the trio of Matthew Bellamy (vocal, guitar, piano), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass guitar, backing vocal, keyboard) and Dominic Howard (drums, percussions).

Muse's songs are not foreign from us actually. Sometimes somewhere, you may heard their songs from some TV adverts, record stores, film trailers or even just a random tunes out from the radio. Here are the musics of Muse:

NEW CLASSIFICATION FOR MOVIES SHOWN IN MALAYSIA

In the latest development, the Malaysia's authority board for film censorship and rating, LPF (Lembaga Penapisan Filem or National Censorship Board) has introduced the new film rating system that will effectively replaces the current system, as reported by our local cinema portal (Cinema Online). It was reported that the authority has already issued the new system to be dismissed to all particular movie studio and distribution and will take into effect immediately.

The Malaysian horror blockbuster Jangan Pandang Belakang carried a U-rating. Rationale? It is agreeable that this movie is not even suitable for children and faint-hearted.

In the current system which has been implemented since 1996, movies are categorized into U and 18+ depending on the subject genre. The 18+ rating resembles those used by the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) by giving a R-rating for certain movies deemed unsuitable for the minors. In Malaysia, 18SG was previously used to indicate strong violent and horror genre deemed inappropriate to minor. 18SX for profanity and sexuality contents, 18PA for political and religious sensitivity; and 18PL for combination of one or more categories. U meanwhile was used to indicate a general viewing and releases, similar to MPAA's G-rating.

Read more to learn about the new classification.

The PG13, was later added into the classification in 2008 to expand the scope of the uses of U. In the past, censorship board was criticized for giving a U-rated for some local horror flick which the public deemed too gore to be watched by the minor. Classic examples are Jangan Pandang Belakang and Congkak, two blockbuster local horror that have set the trend for introducing the PG13 rating. It is also worth to note that there are times when some irregularities occurred in the past while rating a movie. Street Kings, Legion and Rambo 4 did have many of its F-words when uncensored while been given 18+ rating.

The solution is simple. LPF will abolished the current system and to be replaced by a simpler version of rating. Below is the new classification:

U - For general viewing without age limit
PG13 - Parents guidance needed for audience under the age of 13
      18 - For 18 and above only

So, tell me what do you think of this new system. Is it going to be effective at all?

ANOTHER TOP ARTIST ADMITS HE IS GAY, SO WHAT?

It is no longer a surprising news any more. But the fact that Yahoo Music covers a story on Ricky Martin has finally raised up the answer that fans have been waiting for all these while. Not just any sensational news after all considering the Latino singer has been keeping quiet about his personal life for so long. Indeed his decision to finally admit that he is a GAY comes by no surprise at all and I have to ask him is why it took him so long to admit it. I do not have anything against the gays and lesbians. Practically these are their to preach and I as an outsider will never pass any judgment for what they believe and stand for.

In his website, after much speculation, he said, "I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man." He went on to say, "I am very blessed to be who I am." There are many rumors ever since he started his great music career and his decision few years back to adopt two twin sons do however sparkles the issue. Now that he admits he is, leave him alone from all these taboos and unsatisfactory, or any bad perception towards the pop star. He deserves his life after all.

To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where [sic] born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment
      Ricky Martin.

People who knew Ricky Martin as a whole would have never failed to notice the on-off romantic relationship with Mexican TV host Rebecca de Alba. That lasted for 14 years, filled with period of talks of starting a family together and at a point Martin planned on proposing. It seems that those changes after the release of his third English album Life back in 2005. Martin went on to adopt his sons in August 2008. It was a difficult life for him but we love his music, his work to serve the humanity and his achievements. We simply loves him.

As in any Hollywood stuffs, it may takes a moment before one admit his real sexual orientation. Let's take last year's American Idol runner-up as an example. While Adam Lambert was still on the competition, the wildfires spread across the scene about his true sexual orientation with pictures of him kissing another guy made the day's headline. He remained silent until the American Idol days were over.

Ellen Degeneres. Who does not know this lady with the much funny to her core instincts in within? The now part of the American Idol judge has been revealing her lesbian life back in 1997 in The Oprah Winfrey Show. Now she is married to long time partner Portia de Rossi since 2008.

Also recently admitting he is a gay is none other than Sean Hayes, popular for his role as Jack McFarland in NBC's sitcom Will & Grace. He has been long refused to discuss about his sexuality until an interview with The Advocate this month and said, " feel like I’ve contributed monumentally to the success of the gay movement in America, and if anyone wants to argue that, I’m open to it. You’re welcome, Advocate."

When talking about gay, who should left him behind. The British very own Elton John. Back in 1976, in an interview with The Rolling stone, he talked about bisexuality and his first sexual experience with a secretary Linda Woodrow. He thought of marrying her but While having serious doubts about the looming marriage, John contemplated suicide but he managed to rise back. Thus, comes the the song we all loved to listen to "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" - a hit single back in 1975. Then life goes on for him until today, he is in a civil partnership with David Furnish.

Not many knew but here is another gay. You know him for his womanizer role in How I Met Your Mother. Neil Patrick Harris is a funny man that charms us with his spectacular persona. He came into public and admitted gay in 2006, having relationship with David Burtka since 2004.

Hollywood's land of gay and lesbian - is nothing new. Perhaps, it takes time for them to reveal their true sexuality but it is also a choice they have to commit. Like Ricky Martin's case, no one should blame who and instead life goes on. We should see things like what the Western see. While we may not agree that the sexual orientation as such is deemed normal for us, it is still a choice for them to pursuit. Gay or not, lesbian or not - these artistes have entertained us for years. I am neither supporting nor going against gay and lesbian, it is what they see are more important than what we see.

      HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAGA

Green Tea World would like to wish a very gorgeous Happy Birthday to Lady GaGa. She turns 24 today.

      doodle.png on Aviary

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, as everyone knows her by her stage name Lady Gaga would likely celebrating her birthday with much of the monster balls. Although nobody can said they exactly understand her concepts, but I can bet that everyone enjoys her music and outrageous fashion senses.

She was on the scene for years but nothing more to celebrate that when her latest single "Telephone" which features Beyonce climbed up 6 notches to land at number 3 on the US Hot 100 Billboard Countdown. While her previous single "Bad Romance" still lingering in the Top 20.

Anyway, once again, Happy Birthday Lady Gaga.....
