SPREAD THE GOODNESS OF MILK!!

It's the month of June. The sun is scorchingly hot, the heat air is burning through my skin and the glowing radiance sun shines everyday. It's an affirmation that the summer has arrived. At least that is for the people living in the customary four seasons climate. Here, it's all about been sunny and rain; sometimes cloudy though. But no matter where you stay and what climate you are experiencing, everyone knows that a glass of fresh milk is what you need to kick start the morning or else...to knock off before sleep.

Ah, speaking of milk, here's something I just remembered (not really, since I planned on this post for hours ago). June 1 is World Milk Day. What a perfect way to celebrate the day by observing some of the nutritious facts about milk. I love milk and I drank it almost, I repeat, almost every day. I love milk as much as I love green tea. Nevertheless, this year's World Milk Day in Malaysia is so special. Why? Because more than 3,200 Malaysians gathered to break a record in The Malaysia Book of Record - The Largest Milk Drinking Event Ever....

The last Sunday (30 May), more than 3,200 Malaysians gathered at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur to set a remarkable event. It's a historic because for the earnest time of the year, everyone enjoys their pack of milk - full richness in nutritions and deliciously 'brewed' fresh milk for all.

The event is a testimonial for all - enjoy the milk because it is time for us to spread the goodness of milk to everyone. The picture above shows the newly-designed pack of low fat high calcium milk.

I was the lucky 2,796th participant in the record breaking event.

The majority of them are kids. School kids fully dressed in their decent uniforms - from associations like Girl's Guide, Scouts, Boys Brigade and Red Crescent Society. The Malaysians of all walks of life and religious background came together to take part. A truly joyous event that demonstrates the true value of 1Malaysia.

Records broken and what's next? Go and SPREAD THE GOODNESS OF MILK. In conjunction with today's World Milk Day celebration, let's take some initiatives by introducing and to spread the goodness in every Dutch Lady's products. Here are some facts that I picked up from their main sites at here. I guess sharing the truthful value of each glass of milk is probably the only thing I can offered.

DAY THIRTEEN: FRENCH ART AND FILM FESTIVAL 2010

The 10th French Film Festival 2010 will be happening around the country (specifically GSC MidValley, GSC Pavilion and GSC 1 Utama on 13 May - 23 May while GSC Gurney Plaza on 27 May - 2 June) beginning 13 May to 2 June. The film festival is only a part of the upcoming 2010 French Art & Film Festival (FAFF) which will be held in capital Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

Besides films from the L Hexagone, we are blessed that our country will once again been showered with the many acts from France. Among the highlights are the musical performances from Amelie, Trio Con Fuoco and Mouron. There are also dance performance entitled Amour (Love) (as inspired by the famous French sculptor and painter, Auguste Rodin) by Shanmuga Sundaran. He is India's leading classical dancers and among the best male exponents of his generation in the fine art form of Bharatanatyam. There is also a documentary called Mondovino which will be shown to audience for free.

For the Film Festival, this year local cinema chain operator GSC Cinemas will showcase 8 French movies; namely the award-winning Coco avant Chanel (Coco Before Chanel), L'Heure d'ete (Summer Hours), Et apres (Afterwards), Largo Winch, De l'autre cote du lit (Changing Sides), Je crois que je l'aime (Could This Be Love?), L'Heure zero (Towards Zero) and 13m2.

Showtimes for these movies are available on Cinema Online site and on the FAFF official website. The film festival will be held in separate city for different period of time. The audiences in Kuala Lumpur can catch the film festival on May 13-23 while those in north Penang will be held from 27 May to 2 June. The welcome note by the MC of the night – Sazzy Falak. If you do not know who is she, go and watch this Malaysian film called "Gol & Gincu". She eventually won the Best Supporting Actress – Film Festival Malaysia Ke-19 (2006) for her role.

The beat-box master, Shawn Lee started the show with his true talent in nature I would say – creating the beat of music from his own vocal. Pity him, he has to bring a bottle of water up to the stage - quenching the thirst during the break of each of his performance.

Joe Flizzow, the other half from once popular rapper duo of Too Phat then fired-it-all-up with hip hop beats. The Mr President sang and rapped several hits of his and made the crowds go La-La-La-La and Duit Duit Duit!!

Arabyrd took the baton up on stage next. Her eccentric and electrifying music was kind of different than usual. We first heard about her during Juice 5th Anniversary few months ago.

DJ Xu of Lap Sap fueled the Saturday-Night-Fever with his impressive table-top-turning skill. Those trendy musics were gorgeously spinned to pump such an injection to our ears that night.

Of course, it is the time to hit the dance floor, shall we?
