The Future Is…Over Easy. HP and Microsoft, proudly present the HP Future Is - an event to bring together the online influencers like you and me, to discuss how the future of anything and everything from technology to design, fashion to environment. Thanks to Nuffnang, I was able to witness and hear for my own what are the futures of our technology is taking us for the years to come.
Been a hitch-hiker for most of my life, I departed early for the event. 4.45pm, I was wondering alone at the KTM Serdang, waiting for the long blue-yellow KTM train to arrive. Nevertheless, this sentence kept repeating on my mind. "What If...This Is the First Step for the Future?” Who can really tell us what the future lays beyond this steps of technology.
Alas, I arrived early as usual! Looking up ahead from the large window panes of McDonald’s, just across the street of Lot 10 where the event will be held, I was amazed by how alive this famous street in Kuala Lumpur can be, even on a weekday. How will this place change in next ten years as like how technology has changed us for the past ten years?
Oh, wait the minute; I think I found my destination. Gazing over the rooftop of Lot 10, I saw this HP balloon. I should “geo-tagged” it for my hitchhiking mission, right?
Well, one pre-event photo to laugh about. But in my mind still, can this be the future we all dream of; where technology and life are forever a trinity of mankind survivor that makes peoples drive forward? Oh, I think too much…
7.50pm, the emcee of the event gave us a great welcoming note. The emcee for the event is none other than Will Quah. You may have seen this familiar face countless but you will always remember him as the one who rings your alarm and make a wake-up-call every weekday morning on NTV7. He said he prefer to do hosting at night though!
Each of the panel of five expressed their own views and opinions on how The Future Is. No matter how crazy and insane the ideas are, everyone is entitled for his or her views, because the future is unimaginable and too vast to explore. What is your Future Is? If you have the urge to make something for the world, feel free to voice your own because there will be a blogging contest for which your brilliant idea could be the shaper of the future. Together let’s make the Future Is.
Last but not least, the launch of post-party “Blog A Trend” contest was officiated. Remember when I told you a moment ago that you can contribute your idea and voice for shaping what the Future Is? This is it!
Mike Campton, the guy who hosts 8tvNiteLive on 8TV, every Saturday to Monday on midnight. He actually told me about this 27” iMac owned by his cousin sounds very cool that you can have 10 columns on your TweetDeck.
These model girls dressed up in all black and a black-grey hair band. I actually thought the hair band resembles a rabbit ear but please do forgive me, the eyes can sometimes play a trick on the beholder. Anyway, they are still the candy of these HP’s PCs.
This is the one product that has captured the most of my heart. Introducing the HP TouchSmart 600 All-In-One Desktop PC, of course by HP. This is the one product that I will blog about soon. With touch-screen technology has finally made your PC something to cheer for, wait till you are informed that this PC can actually integrated your television, internet, Play Station, photo-editing and webcam; all into one touchable sense, high definition crystal clear motion and high speed sprinting with Windows 7.
Say hi to Ben, the one-third from the FlyFM Pagi Show, the show that puts a laugh on your face even before you wake up. I enjoyed their company every morning, while I am preparing myself to start my hitchhiking journey to my faculty. Apparently he told me that the other two-thirds were still sleeping and still in the toilet – I wonder who!
The emcee of the night is none other than, Will Quah, whom I am more familiar of him as the host that also breaks the early morning on Ntv7 with a cup of breakfast show. I enjoyed watching his show when he is hosting. Of course the others were equally stunning. He also taught me to go online to watch the show at http://ntv7.com.my if I missed it in the morning, of course if Screwmyx is still working well! In returns, I flattered him as a potential Edward Cullen-look alike because of his constant shiny appearance when I took his pictures.
The girl who keeps encouraging me to take the HP’s umbrella and pose, I introduce to you Audra. (I’m not sure if this is right or not) Knock my head if she is a model! With here posing yet again with Mr Mike.
Ah, I didn’t realize the time has flown so quick that the party was almost ended. 10pm and I walked out of the rooftop of Lot 10, not before I took the signature “geo-tagged” HP balloon for once and for all.
I guess it's time to go back now. After taking an elevator that transported me from top to bottom, as the elevator doors slide open, I was served with this night view of Bintang Walk. It is hard to imagine how is this place is going to change in the next ten years or so.
Just like technology, it constantly evolves and revolutionizes. The world cannot stop spinning if the technology ceases by itself. Talk about the future, is like a talk for everlasting dream of how the future is sculptured at the moment. With one idea, it produce one dream and one possibility. When all contributes their own dream, the endless possibilities lay ahead of us. So I kept pondering, could my next few steps forward will change the future? Silly me, of course it will. I smiled and eagerly waiting for my last train back.
Before I go, I managed to capture something during the talk. It was when our dear speaker, Cynthia was speaking about her radio. Radio was an awesome technology, I agree. Sorry if the video quality is a bit on the lower-hand, what do you expect from a low-spec gear. Nevertheless, hope you may enjoy this article of mine. It may be super-long but it is meaningful for me.
