THE FRIDAY OF APRIL 9, 2010 - PART TWO

Sorry for my procrastination! I don't have the kind of mutual inspirations nor any materials to update this blog recently. Smack on my forehead for that! On my original schedule, I wanted to do this post back on last Tuesday but I do not have any good photos to start with. Never mind about the photos; steal one from here and another one from there will be much subtle.

Anyway,

HERE IS PART TWO - COFFEE WITH NUFFIES

Note* Wait, did you read Part One yet? No? Scroll down, and click older post. Nothing much anyway, only photos of my winnings on that Friday The 13 9th.

For those who has out of the planet recently, Coffee With Nuffies is like Nuffnang's official "Hari Bertemu Pelanggan" or "Meet-The-Clients'-Day". You know Nuffnang? The one who sponsors my advertisement to refinance this blog? Yeah! It is a monthly event where 5 bloggers will be invited for up and exclusive coffee session, chit chat and some detention room (nope, I am not kidding). Alright then that I was one of the fortunate five to be able to taste their coffee and what's not. I guess they will only do it on Friday because you will notice how awesome their office are during this day. I mean, seriously, when everyone is there to play Band Hero!

Here are the attendees:

*Pictures stolen taken from submerryn(dot)com.
STANDING: The Crafty-Crafted mummy, Merryn (http://www.submerryn.com/); The bubbly Natasha (http://www.onetasha.com/)
SITTING: The other dude Jimmy (http://www.jayleo.blogspot.com/); ahem ahem - no need for an introduction right?; The comic lover, Shana (http://applecrackers.blogspot.com/)

And here are our tourist guide for that day.

*Picture again stolen taken but this time from onetasha(dot)com.
The Nuffnang trio of Michelle Teh, Teoh Xin Xian, Robb Chew.

So, what did we do on that day?

1. The coffee session started with of course, a cup of tea/milo/coffee/what ever they have on that day. Served with hot and yummy curry-puffs bought by Robb himself.

doodle.png on Aviary.

2. Then, the session became a mocking for the route I took just to come to the Nuffnang office when raindrops were falling so heavy on top of my head! I know many are cracking their head what the picture above really mean. Go guess!!

3. Sight-seeing around the orange office. Somebody commented that it looks too much alike 8TV.

4. Brought into the detention room for some tutorial and lecture on how to NUFF it to the NANG!!

What did I learned that day?

It is not about what did I learned on that day. It is sort off to confirm my auspicious and theory (overstatement!). Rephrase. It is sort off to validate my knowledge about how Nuffnang can really work on our blogs.

So, here are some stuffs to be highlighted:

  1. You want to blog an event, make sure your traffic is high enough to attract the advertiser.
  2. Ad space on your blog works like a bidding zone. Only a certain amount of ads will appear on a certain time in a day.
  3. Traffic is important, not NANGS on Innit!
  4. Proper placement of ads can help you earn of something.
  5. Know Nuffnang's competitor. Text link or text ads are not, but rival banner ads are. So, no issues with Google Adsense after all, but placing Adgitize, Advertlets or Innity will cause your Gliterrati membership revoked.
  6. Nuffnang is always vigilante about ads clicking. Click once to check the ads, fine! But massive clicking exchange is a no no.How to win a contest? Put more effort, create something different, check other people's entries first before you do your own and possibly - video, animation and photos over post.

Ok, kudos to Nuffnang for having such an insightful event at this small scale. It's great to meet other peoples and listen to what they have to say. Besides, you may get your doubts answered by the reliable sources about how to earn or how to win or how to blog. Once again, thanks Nuffnang for the invites though!

Chiao, amigo y amiga!!

THE FRIDAY OF APRIL 9, 2010 - PART ONE

7.05AM
As usual, the sun rises from the East. A usual massive jam along Jalan Tun Razak. A 'white pigeon' aka traffic police would rounded up his routine along the exit from Jalan Bukit Bintang towards Jalan Tun Razak. The day runs as usual but there is something that makes it a little different today.

9.25AM
It all started out with an amazing news that partly affects me in every way. I would not want to get that into details but lets be assured, I must keep the story going! Somehow, I managed to grab Bibiana together. So, she ended up been my driver-for-the-day. Come on, you know how 'awesome' is our public transports are. I mean, getting from KL to PJ and then back to KL is not an easy task after all. But we makes the scene more merrier when she brought along her friend darling and I brought my darling Evelyn too. Four's a crowd they say!

11.35AM
First stop at GSC HQ at Damansara Jaya (Seksyen 22). It was a quick one to grab my 2010 OSCAR PREDICTION CONTEST goodie bag. The goodie bag looks decent especially when it was wrapped up with the GSC wrapping paper though.

1.45PM
Then headed over to my second stop at Packet Hub (Jalan Templer). But looking for that green building was really agonizing. After spinning for like an hour around the area while at times it looks amazingly confusing, we arrived and I quickly grab my HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON contest prize from the Ruumz.

1.55PM
Headed for a lunch as Seksyen 2 with the three girls. Then Evelyn and me headed back to KL. I then attended the Coffee with Nuffies session at Nuffnang HQ (Asian Heritage Row is nearby).

6.45PM
The last stop of the day was definitely a friday-movie-session with my best pal, Reno. The movie choice of the week is Date Night. Reviews will be up at http://greenteamovie.blogspot.com soon.

SO WHAT PRIZES DID I GET ON FRIDAY?

That's a lot to start off. Not in the pictures are some OPI stuffs for nail polish and discount vouchers. Those I gave to Evelyn for it is not one of my custom to do nail polishing.

Next entry will be something from the Coffee With Nuffies session. Stay tune.

HP FUTURE IS....OVER EASY

Dear diary and readers,

From HP Future Is
From HP Future Is
The Future Is …Over Easy. HP and Microsoft, proudly present the HP Future Is - an event to bring together the online influencers like you and me, to discuss how the future of anything and everything from technology to design, fashion to environment. Thanks to Nuffnang, I was able to witness and hear for my own what are the futures of our technology is taking us for the years to come.

From HP Future Is
Been a hitch-hiker for most of my life, I departed early for the event. 4.45pm, I was wondering alone at the KTM Serdang, waiting for the long blue-yellow KTM train to arrive. Nevertheless, this sentence kept repeating on my mind. "What If...This Is the First Step for the Future?” Who can really tell us what the future lays beyond this steps of technology.

From HP Future Is
From HP Future Is
Alas, I arrived early as usual! Looking up ahead from the large window panes of McDonald’s, just across the street of Lot 10 where the event will be held, I was amazed by how alive this famous street in Kuala Lumpur can be, even on a weekday. How will this place change in next ten years as like how technology has changed us for the past ten years?

From HP Future Is
Oh, wait the minute; I think I found my destination. Gazing over the rooftop of Lot 10, I saw this HP balloon. I should “geo-tagged” it for my hitchhiking mission, right?

Well, one pre-event photo to laugh about. But in my mind still, can this be the future we all dream of; where technology and life are forever a trinity of mankind survivor that makes peoples drive forward? Oh, I think too much…

From HP Future Is
7.50pm, the emcee of the event gave us a great welcoming note. The emcee for the event is none other than Will Quah. You may have seen this familiar face countless but you will always remember him as the one who rings your alarm and make a wake-up-call every weekday morning on NTV7. He said he prefer to do hosting at night though!

From HP Future Is
A welcoming speech was delivered by Mr. Danny Lee, Country General Manager, Personal System Group, Hewlett-Packard (M) Sdn. Bhd.

From HP Future Is
The key event was none other than the open forum session by the Top 5 Influencers. The top 5 influencers are Kenny Sia (http://kennysia.com), Jojo Struys (http://jojostruys.com), Red Mummy (http://redmummy.com), Cynthia Ong (http://thatgirlcynthia.com) and Joyce Wong (http://kinkybluefairy.net).

Each of the panel of five expressed their own views and opinions on how The Future Is. No matter how crazy and insane the ideas are, everyone is entitled for his or her views, because the future is unimaginable and too vast to explore. What is your Future Is? If you have the urge to make something for the world, feel free to voice your own because there will be a blogging contest for which your brilliant idea could be the shaper of the future. Together let’s make the Future Is.

From HP Future Is
The closing speech addressed by Mr. Low Sin Yip, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Director, Microsoft Malaysia.

From HP Future Is
Last but not least, the launch of post-party “Blog A Trend” contest was officiated. Remember when I told you a moment ago that you can contribute your idea and voice for shaping what the Future Is? This is it!

Here are other stuffs seen during the event:

From HP Future Is
Mike Campton, the guy who hosts 8tvNiteLive on 8TV, every Saturday to Monday on midnight. He actually told me about this 27” iMac owned by his cousin sounds very cool that you can have 10 columns on your TweetDeck.

From HP Future Is

These model girls dressed up in all black and a black-grey hair band. I actually thought the hair band resembles a rabbit ear but please do forgive me, the eyes can sometimes play a trick on the beholder. Anyway, they are still the candy of these HP’s PCs.

From HP Future Is
From HP Future Is
This is the one product that has captured the most of my heart. Introducing the HP TouchSmart 600 All-In-One Desktop PC, of course by HP. This is the one product that I will blog about soon. With touch-screen technology has finally made your PC something to cheer for, wait till you are informed that this PC can actually integrated your television, internet, Play Station, photo-editing and webcam; all into one touchable sense, high definition crystal clear motion and high speed sprinting with Windows 7.

From HP Future Is
From HP Future Is
Say hi to Ben, the one-third from the FlyFM Pagi Show, the show that puts a laugh on your face even before you wake up. I enjoyed their company every morning, while I am preparing myself to start my hitchhiking journey to my faculty. Apparently he told me that the other two-thirds were still sleeping and still in the toilet – I wonder who!

From HP Future Is
From HP Future Is
The emcee of the night is none other than, Will Quah, whom I am more familiar of him as the host that also breaks the early morning on Ntv7 with a cup of breakfast show. I enjoyed watching his show when he is hosting. Of course the others were equally stunning. He also taught me to go online to watch the show at http://ntv7.com.my if I missed it in the morning, of course if Screwmyx is still working well! In returns, I flattered him as a potential Edward Cullen-look alike because of his constant shiny appearance when I took his pictures.

From HP Future Is
The girl who keeps encouraging me to take the HP’s umbrella and pose, I introduce to you Audra. (I’m not sure if this is right or not) Knock my head if she is a model! With here posing yet again with Mr Mike.

From HP Future Is
Ah, I didn’t realize the time has flown so quick that the party was almost ended. 10pm and I walked out of the rooftop of Lot 10, not before I took the signature “geo-tagged” HP balloon for once and for all.

From HP Future Is
I guess it's time to go back now. After taking an elevator that transported me from top to bottom, as the elevator doors slide open, I was served with this night view of Bintang Walk. It is hard to imagine how is this place is going to change in the next ten years or so.

From HP Future Is
Just like technology, it constantly evolves and revolutionizes. The world cannot stop spinning if the technology ceases by itself. Talk about the future, is like a talk for everlasting dream of how the future is sculptured at the moment. With one idea, it produce one dream and one possibility. When all contributes their own dream, the endless possibilities lay ahead of us. So I kept pondering, could my next few steps forward will change the future? Silly me, of course it will. I smiled and eagerly waiting for my last train back.

Before I go, I managed to capture something during the talk. It was when our dear speaker, Cynthia was speaking about her radio. Radio was an awesome technology, I agree. Sorry if the video quality is a bit on the lower-hand, what do you expect from a low-spec gear. Nevertheless, hope you may enjoy this article of mine. It may be super-long but it is meaningful for me.

I'M A SHERLOCK HOLMES IN THE MAKING

Forgive me to comment that "I'm A Sherlock Holmes In The Making" title they asked me to put here doesn't sound correct. Since when Sherlock Holmes is A thing. Figure it yourself?

By the way, here is the screen print of that phenomenon been messed up around somebody's blog that need to be hunted.

Photobucket

Saw that thing on the right side.....The same picture right?

IF I AM A NINJA ASSASSIN

Ninja is a form of martial art. Not just merely a traditionist-way of dressing in a black sattire and combating enemy with shuriken or nihontou sword. Ninja is an art of fighting that takes one beyond his own soul to deeply engraved one of the world's deadliest fighting combat skills the world has ever seen. So I asked myself what if I'm a NINJA ASSASSIN?

IF I AM A NINJA ASSASSIN? Throw away those conventional black-wrapping suits, change into something new like a blue mask-shield. No rigid uniforms. Free sleeves for my hands to move freely. High tech gadgets on my backpack. Again, the modern generation ninjas may have a form of new weapon. How about machine guns accompanying the nihontou sword and shuriken? That is me, a NINJA ASSASSIN.

So what if I am a NINJA ASSASSIN?

I could be as well become the sidekick of Bruce Wayne aka Batman. A new Robin? Well, why not? In a revamped series by Christopher Nolan - Batman Begins tells the story of how Bruce Wayne wandering in Japan and learnt the arts of ninjitsu (ninja) and becomes the cape-crusader of Gotham City. OK, i need to type my resume to him first!

If Batman rejected my application, I can turned myself to Mr Blade. Remember Blade? He is the one-lonely soul whom moves around and killes dracula and vampire clans. A blade in his hand and my silver bullets on my machine gun. Together, we kick these creatures to the six-feet-under!!

Well, in case everything does not go according to plan, I can join the turtles then. I'm sure the guys from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would allowed me to join them. Okay, I'm not a turtle nor a mutant, but I can swing bars, eat pizza and act like a turtle. Come on!!!

Now i know been a
NINJA ASSASSIN is no easy task. WORK WORK WORK, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!! I think I should think about my EPF as well. When I'm retired, I'll open a ninja-school in downtown Pusat Bandar Damansara. The turtles will become instructors as well. Wait, I have to make sure my school is near with Pizza Hut, Domino or maybe Papa Johns!!

Oh well, this is more glimpse of me....as a
NINJA ASSASSIN!!
