Wait! What if one day time travel is possible? Worry not, here are some tips you can learn and you can use it when you decide to time travel, as inspired from Empire Online!
1. LEARN MISTAKES FROM YOUR PAST
This sounds familiar and universal don’t it? Learn mistakes from the past – as I am sure many of us had done mistakes in the past and you in dire of fixing it right. Fear not, know your mistakes and make a vow so that you will go back in time to fix it. Well, watch ‘Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure’ (1989) and learn from Mr Keanu Reeves in his younger days how he fix these mistakes.
2. AVOID YOUR PARENTS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
When you go back in time, I am sure you will bump into your parents in a younger version. If you (some handsome teen) meet your mom, try not to let yourself been flirted by your mom. If you do, you in the future will be evaporated into nothing – merely because you will not exist without your mom. Ask Michael J Fox how close he almost been ‘vanish’ in ‘Back To The Future’
3. NEVER STEP OUT OF THE PATH
If you go back to the Ice Age, please be alert all the time and never step out of the path. You remember the movie ‘Sound Of Thunder’? Remember one of the dude steps on the ancient butterfly and in the end result, the whole world changed. Well, this is a dangerous risk – if you haven’t heard of ‘The Butterfly Effect’ before, read here. So the moral of the story, stay on the path and don’t mess with the butterflies.
4. TAKE THE CHANCE TO DO SOMETHING BIG
If you think that yesterday was not good enough, go back to yesterday and fix stuffs that you think are not living it up to expectation. Just like Phil Connors (Bill Murray), a reporter from the movie ‘Groundhog Day’ (1993), where he woke up every morning only to realize that it is the same day as yesterday and as are the other days. What he did you ask me? Easy, do things in planned manner while variance your activities.
5. HELP YOUR FATHER TO HELP YOU
All parents want to see their children to be successful and always grow up in the safer environment. Well, asks Kyle Reese from the future – he helped John Connor from the past when Connor was still a young kid. Then, later in the future, the much grown up John Connor helps his much younger-than-him-father in returns. What a way to show your gratitude to your dad, don’t you agree? (from Terminator: Judgement Day and Terminator Salvation)
6. DON'T TELL PEOPLE YOU ARE FROM FUTURE
If you can't resist to tell people you are from the year 2040, you will end up inside the prison, or worst of all, inside the four-walled cubicle inside an asylum. Just look at how Bruce Willis landed himself when he try to convince Brad Pitt that there will be virus-leaking-into-the-damn-atmosphere and turning world into apocalypse. Good work, now you need extra burden to warn the people. Anyone watched '12 Monkeys' (1995)?
7. IT'S OK TO MEET YOURDELF FROM THE OTHER TIME
I'm sure you have heard about theory such as you will get melted, banished or eveaporated if you yourself from the future goes back in time and meet you at the present time. Well, finally I can assure you that this theory can be thrown into your dustbin. Recent theory shows that Hiro Nakamura still be able to go back through time and the same goes to Spock (Zachary Quinto) when he meet 150-year-old Spock at the same setting in 'Star Trek' (2009). Nothing wrong!!
