SOME UNPUBLISHED PHOTOS FROM THE PAST

Today I spent some of my hot and sleepy Sunday afternoon browsing through an archive of photos. Looks like I have a huge collection of unpublished photos or I would say something that has been lost in the memory. Having pictures in your personal computer can really helps you to dig those inner sense of memories embedded deep within.

Therefore, I think as a tribute for my bogging career, here I should present to you some rarely and unpublished photos that even I can't recalled them. Haha...I think I should refresh my memory now.

I Got Robbed!!

Okay, yesterday was a day of misfortunate. I wondered what's wrong with the date - 3 December 2008. The date seems to be good day for blogging, meeting peoples and sort of like that. But wait till you hear this. I was robbed.

Yes. You hear me right. Yesterday, at approximately 9pm, somewhere in Berjaya Times Square, I lost my lap-top in a bag following a 'robbery' incident. I think that guy was on high.....

Well, I think I just leave the details. The point is I lost my laptop, and I spent the night at the police station right until 2 in the morning, trying to convince them to look at the CCTV, but the sergeant ignored my request. I knew how the guy looked like and I can recognize him if I ever see him again. The sergeant asked me to call him if I ever see this dude again - sweat and speechless statement I heard from a police officer.

Never mind, life goes on.....
And there is some riddle I want to share. I know this time is inappropriate after such a misfortunate events that happen.

Okay, here it goes....
When someone said this to you, "AAA BBB AAB BBA ABB BAA ABA BAB BBD EDD DAB AEE"
How would you reply?

Think about it and give me your answer or guess on the comment box.
No prize will be awarded, the reward is that it makes your brain operating and functioning well.

STARBUCKS COFFEE Passport...

This is the passport for the amazing journey for tasting all the coffee beans that are available in Starbucks Coffee. I have one. This is the passport!!
It looks shabby course it's been in my bag for ages that I forgot that I put it there.
So the journey begin at 23 June this year and so far I have tasted about 7 types of different coffee beans from different parts of the world. How I got to taste you ask? Easy, get this passport from Starbucks and show some interests on coffee. When you are free, just go to any Starbucks outlets and present this pass, ask for coffee tasting. Then they will select one type of coffee of the day with one of their delicacies. Enjoy them, give comments and describe the coffee; all for free!! At the end of the session, you will get a stamp to proof that you have taste the coffee.

Starbucks people told me that their coffee beans came from mainly three regions; Arab and Africa, Indonesia Archipelago and the Latin American regions. These are the 3 main coffee-growing regions where climate and flavour profiles affects the type of coffees grown. Latin American coffees are famous for its originality, traditional, well-balanced flavour with some nutty elements. Africa-Arabian origins are exotic in flavours of spices and citrus; most unusual and sought-after in the world.  The Asia-Pacific particularly in Indonesia produces thise which are complex and rich in flavour with some herbal aroma. The other type of coffee beans are basically multi-region and dark roast where they are mixtures of different type of beans from all around the world.

They also taught me the step to describe the types of coffee and how to recognize certain simple characteristics that distinguish each of the coffee. There are four steps in it:
Smell - smell the aroma and try to recognize any smell from any floral products like nut or fruits in it
Slurp - slurp the coffee littla by little to describe the boldness, acidity and the flavour
Locate the experience - descibe a little bit on what other food blends well with the coffee etc.
Description - of course, summarize the coffee in a tasting note; where aroma, body, acidity and flavours are descibed.

They also kindly show me types of coffee grind that goes well with the type of coffee maker you have; also on how to brew a great cup of coffee at home. Proportion of coffee, types of coffee ground, water and freshness are all important.

Lastly, here are some of those that I have tasted at Starbucks:

Most popular coffee, House Blend of the Latino.

The Africa Kitamu

The Sumatra, most popular single-offering origin coffee

Here you go, thanks Starbucks Coffee!! I just love it, don't I?

I, Starbucks!!

B.E.R.N.A.R.D.

Lately, I was uninspired when talking about blogging materials. Everyday, I have something, in fact too many things to say in a day. However, I am having this kind of dilemma to utter out the words and to post. You see, I can basically talk about the things I have done today, what happen to the moron Bukit Bendera who said Chinese is actually a squatter in Bolehland and so on. Never mind, let’s go to the main point shall we.

My name is Bernard! Yes it is, or if it is not what else you should call me then? Bernard is my first name, a part of my unofficial five-word full name. (If you are curious about my full name, click here to view.) BERNARD pronounced as bur-NAHRD (US-slang) or BER-ned (UK-accent) is a masculine name of German and French origin. If I’m not mistaken, the name means ‘Strong’ or ‘Brave’ as a bear. Wait the minute, so I am a bear from Germany and France!

So let’s see the other more famous BERNARD from around the world:

(1) First of all, the likable St. Bernard dog, bred for rescue and as working dog. This cute canine originated from Switzerland and Italy.

We have Barry the St Bernard dog who lived in 19th century and claimed to have saved over 40 lives during his service as a rescue dog.

The other famous St Bernard dog is Beethoven, a movie fictional dog character from the popular Beethoven film series. I’m not sure how many people remembered the movie, since it was first featured in 1992 and now had spawned four sequels.

(2) Number two; Saint Bernard of Menthon, a Catholic saint attributed for mountain and dogs. He established the St Bernard’s Passes, a famous path for mountaineers to travel across the Alps Mountain. Historically it was used as a road for French and German pilgrims to go to Rome.

(3) Number three; Bernard, the polar bear where you usually see on the RapidKL bus. Bernard is the central character of the French animated series that run only 3 minutes per episode.

(4) Number four; Bernard Nadler, a fictional character in LOST, played by Sam Anderson.

(5) Number five; Bernard Hill, a veteran British actor famous for his role as Captain Edward J Smith in the movie Titanic and King Theoden in the trilogy of The Lord of the Rings.

(6) Lastly; me, myself and I. But I don’t look German or French or even a bear?

Okay, this is super random....Miss Angel
